Thanks Wags for a great stream. Video and audio quality were great for me and I have a pretty slow internet connection. I would definitely like to see some Huey action and ground units on the move in the next one. Also some WW2 action. Another thing I would like is to put on the fps counter and change it's coordinates so it's not hidden by your lovely mug. Thanks again, I loved it, even though it was 0530 here....

Really enjoyed the stream...nice job

Good to put a face to the enigmatic Wags...

Contrary to another poster...I did not see any jerky head movements...

I watched on a wireless connection at a hotel. Surprisingly, The stream was smooth with no issues for me.

I was surprised to see Wags using the cap reflector instead of the Proclip LEDs.

Is it just me?... I swear I watched the last missile all the way to the target. Even after the smoke trail stopped I could follow it to impact.

Did not mind Wags image inserted...I rather liked it...nice to have some personal contact added.

Would love to see some scenery taxiing in or out of Nellis. Throw some birds and bodies on the flight line for eye candy.

I could hear almost everything Matt said...but better when he turned down the Sim sounds.

Ground shadows from the SU looked a little odd to me.

Nice new features for the ME...Keep up the great work...

Missed it, too bad, think MegOhm drugged my coke...lol

Hopefully can catch the next one? or maybe 2.0 is getting close to release (fingers crossed)

Like most, I was really happy with the stream. Once the crashes ceased, it was fantastic and it was great to see DCS2 in person. Really brought home the significant improvements that DCS2 offers. The F-15C flight around Las Vegas was particularly impressive. The graphics technology has finally reached that point that I dreamed about 15 years ago. The detail level is remarkable and objects are rendered far off in the distance, none of the "autogen" or objects popping up out of no where (like FSX or early LOMAC).

Recording the stream would be great, so I can go back and recheck things, etc. I was also glad that we got to see two different times of day, both looked really true to life from the times I've visited Vegas.

Overall, I thought the depth and variety was great for a one-hour event and I wouldn't change much of anything on that front. I would like to see more of the map and more modules (of course), but you can only fit in so much to an hour. I think it was better to focus on the two different aircraft and parts of the map than have ~5 minutes devoted to 10 different things.

It was a great idea and I'm looking forward to the next one.

Did anyone happen to remember the build number? I remember it was 2.0.4xxx or similar, but it would be interesting to see the difference on the next stream to see how fast they are pumping out new builds.

They pretty much put out new builds every day. The amount that changes varies.

Matt did a fantastic job of talking us through the two missions he had planned… true pro! He really knows DCS inside and out and makes flying and shooting down bandits look so effortless and fun, when it’s not! I was extremely impressed on how immersive and realistic Nevada and its surroundings look at different altitudes. For all of you who did not see the stream it was absolutely breathtaking. It really got everyone pumped up!! Thanks you Matt for taken us through it and SithSpawn for moderating.

Why is it again that this stream can't be posted so others can observe?

I don't understand the logic, and without knowing the pragmatic reasons my default reaction is very negative.

Please help me understand the logic and avert my negative default reaction.

As a fan and supporter I just want to see what others were able to.

The content of DCS W 2.0 that is shown in updates etc is very controlled for understandable commercial reasons. Now... a live stream can't be controlled otherwise than showing it just once. Every error grows out of proportion if it is recorded and playback a thousand time.

I also would want to see the full stream even with the small problems edited out.

I really hope they stick with Twitch, Youtube streaming is blocked in some countries (Germany for example) because of some legal issues, apart from the app IMO twitch is a better streaming platform overall aswell.

I agree with you on this aspect and maybe the best solution would be to stream on both platforms at the same time? If possible.

Uh no , it was about the contrails , which definitely changed.

Oh... I thought I saw something different there and I was watching on a tiny IPhone 4.

Contrary to another poster...I did not see any jerky head movements...

If you were referring at me, I was meaning the surprising head movements a person does with headtracking when other persons that use headtracking are watching... you know like driving shotgun and braking involuntary before the actual driver :) . Maybe my wording was not too well chosen.

And can we get an official comment on the F—5E WIP? That was a shocker (a nice one) ;)

Thanks Matt. And great thanks that you show us not only the flight on the new terrain, but also the new options in the GUI, server browser and in the Mission Editor.

Will we see also updates in the SSE?

I'm looking forward to world 2.0.

I saw many things that I liked very much (lighting, object scaling, new AI options etc.).

To be useful, however, I'd like to share a concern: the shadows.

When taxiing, the shadow cast by the F15 appeared out of shape, and too blueish maybe? Also, at low altitude, terrain shadows appeared unnatural to me. It is hard to describe, but they just do not look natural.

I'm looking forward to a heli version to get a better impression.

All AI options and changes to tasks will be available to it. In terms of other stuff I cannot say. Anything in particular that you'd want so I could add it to a feature request if it doesn't already exist?

Great that ED did the Stream.

Thx to Matt for "entering the lions cave" .... you did good ;)

As most folks said - voice a little to silent and RWR a little too loud ;)

despite that:

-Very nice Smoke effects !

oh, and ... THX to the Mods in chat .... you did a good job

I really hope they stick with Twitch, Youtube streaming is blocked in some countries (Germany for example) because of some legal issues, apart from the app IMO twitch is a better streaming platform overall aswell.

It´s not about the stream having on youtube, but why not having the stream recorded and officially posted on youtube by ED. By reading through the Thread here I recognize that really every single person who complains about not having had the possibility to watch this stream due to Internetspeed limitations, has been ignored. Should´nt the WHOLE Community have the opportunity to see this content? Or is it just for those who deserve this because they got a highspeed Internet?

Despite what was shown on the stream - Why isn't there a replay or why are you against to have this stream on YouTube? Some folks in the chat posted that they can't watch the stream because the minimum internet speed required to watch the stream smoothly was too high, unfortunately including myself. The few frames I have seen looked great but why are you guys so against to have this on Youtube for everyone, even those with slower internet, to watch?

If this is the reason?

The content of DCS W 2.0 that is shown in updates etc is very controlled for understandable commercial reasons. Now... a live stream can't be controlled otherwise than showing it just once. Every error grows out of proportion if it is recorded and playback a thousand time.

So I wonder why there are hundrets of other Lets Play Vidoes of early access Games on youtube...without any issues for the Dev Teams?...(at least I havent heared of any yet) Is´nt it quite normal these days to have early develoment stuff on Youtube? Just a question...

Apart from this I´ve enjoyed the stream very much as well.

Everythings has been said so far, Wags was to silent while other ressources have been too loud. Las Vegas looks promissing and the creation of the Airports finally make them deserve the definition Airport

What I really really wonder is, if we will get a new soundengine. The Fox sounds was nice as well as the parachute sounds...but the engines...these engines still sound as weak as it always did...what I´d like to have is

I'd like to see more camerashake, both onground and in the air.

Also I would like to have windsocks.

Make it impossible to rearm/refuel on the runways. Taxi your ass to the designated areas.

The stream looked good on my end, just a couple of crashes and restarts. Try not to run background programs when you gonna stream and show your product.

Consider https://gaming.youtube.com for next livestream.

Thank you.

On the whole, I thought is was great experiment and an opportunity for a unique experience

However...

Sign up process (for chat) (and for some of the chat content itself) was the standard headache (and yes, some bugga already had my nic >grumble, grumble< words fail me :)

Having to constantly F5 just to sit through a couple more adverts was extremely tedious, and enough (almost) to say; thanks, but no thanks - that sort of thing just isn't worth the experience.

We don't have a huge down/ up speed rating in this country here down under, in what must appear (by others up over) to be the back end of the universe... but we get by (some here might think 10meg down/ 1meg up to be pretty cool... 4G? Netflix has done that over and is simply atrocious). It was about 15 seconds of play before buffering kicked in.

In the bits I did see of the presentation, I liked what was going on, the manner of presentation and the initiative to go about it in the first place.

Cheers Gents :)
