Play the Huey = make a 40/50min travel and than death from nowhere.

 

It's a week that i m playing the campaign...same story over and over again , very frustrating .

 

Choppers have no support , there is only Air to Air going on or nobody care about us ?

If there was only air to air going on, there would be no advance in the campaign.

And as it looks by now, blue side has captured all the north east of the red side bases.

 

Are you in the TS?

I suggest you join in as most of the coordination is done there, and both sides are trying to work together on a regular basis.

I´m not complaining, i like a lot this campaign. I´m only want to notice the unfavourable balance when Europe is sleeping.

Consider red side up by 2 rookie players from Tuesday 0900 GMT if you need us. Not much combat experience, but we will deliver troops and other helo support..

One side is on the verge of loosing and then the larger difference in players will show. I believe this is natural in a real war as well. I guess the red side can surrender and we could start all over, or? Greg, are we there yet? :P

Please add MiG-29S to red team. currently is unfair as blue F-15 have active radar homing AIM-120 AMRAAM and the red Su-27 only passive radar R/ER missiles. we want AMRAAM counterpart R-77 Adder also.

4am, 21 blue vs 12 red.

 

It's been up and down and different all night, But last four hours we could finally take maykop and both Krasnodars once the 104th could give us air cover.

 

North is hard to defend...its flat. South is easy to attack, it's bumpy. Interesting asymetry all around but it was a great experience.

 

My last 4am, i was off this week. Played more DCS this last couple of weeks than at any time before.

 

My only gripe is the casual pvp using up alot of fighter slots and not workign with ground. Frustrating to watch 373 working together and blue being stupid. Feel a bit cheated in the success as it's not as squadron oriented as I would have hoped. More about randoms and timezones.

 

Still, was DCS's finest hour.

Gents,

 

Last night I stayed up until 4 AM flying a Mi-8 with troops to Maykop!

 

I've never stayed up to 4 AM since the days of Warbirds back in 1997-8.

 

The tactical helo hide & seek / cat & mouse game on the way in to Maykop was simply awesome.

 

Just South of Maykop the Huey gunships you had up and patrolling over the city was a smart move!

 

The helicopter gunship dogfights in the area of Maykop were epic!!!!!! You guys defended Maykop like lions!

 

Now it looks like the end is near (but there may be surprises - who knows) I want to say that I enjoyed this campaign very much!

 

Thank you Xcom, Greg, Crash and thank you to all the dedicated pilots and squads who flew with us and against us.

 

Thank you Frostie, and Teknetinium and the rest of the 51st Sqn for giving me near heart attacks each time I engage your Su-27s with my F-15. You guys fly and fight like I've never seen anyone else fight with the Su-27s. Same goes for 238 Sqn, HA, UVAF, NOB, 373rd and other squads on the red side. I will double my efforts for good SA when I will see your names in a server.

 

Thank you to 42 Squadron, 104 Sqn, VEAF Sqn, TAW and all other Blue Squadrons for being such good team players. It was through your coordinated efforts that we have succeeded so far, so quickly.

 

A special thank you to -=42=-MULE and IASGATG for their brilliant work as GCI / AWACS.

Thank you to the people who made blueflag possible and everyone who i flew with and against these past days. This was a great experience and my first in multiplayer in the 20 years that i fly pixels. I hope we can share many more like it. (Actually, just restart the campaign right now, shall we?)

 

I also want all developers to know that this campaign was the reason i invested in some more modules and i hope that they appreciate and support what these guys are doing for the community and the companies involved.

And I will agree with the post about imbalance in numbers.

 

I was playing with Red side yesterday, and it was doing ok, until we just got Mineralnye Vidy

 

At that point people started to leave for different reasons. (I think it was around dinner time, local time.)

And we were not loosing by much at that time, actually fighting back ok.

 

So I would agree, that the loss seems to be just as much due to a lower number of players sometimes on the Red side.

 

Don't know how this could be solved though.

 

But thanks for the fight, it was fun. :)

We should also not forget, that at the begin of the campaign RED was leading in player number and conquered areas!

BEST mission/campaign/event/piont of flights/flights/fights/action/place/people/fun in DCS HISTORY.

 

And i agree, we need small corrections but JUST RESTART IT until you guys from B.Spike team working on that. DON`T stop our enjoying, please!!!
