Incorrect login or password

I don't think it's related to special characters, as I don't have any in my login and I had similar issue on game startup (with "auto" and "save" ticked, I was getting either "no internet connection" or "internal server error" messages). Eventually, I used the new login button on top of the screen and this one actually worked. Now the game auto-logs-in correctly.

 

I had special characters in my password and i got "wrong password or username". After changing my password not to include special characters i either got logged in or i got "no internet connection" or "internal server error". So we have two problems here:

1. DCS does not support special characters in passwords

2. The servers are currently under heavy load and may not always respond.

 

These two distinct problems are easily told apart by the error messages (wrong password for special characters and the other two for server problems)

I'm trying to login into 1.5 beta but everytime I come to the user screen and try to login it says I have no internet connection. I do have an internet connection though and a very good one. So whats the problem here?

Yeah, server problems. If you want single player you can just click on the X and play without having logged in. Otherwise i guess you will have to try a few times. Note that you don't have to restart DCS every time, you can just use the new login button at the top of the screen.

Server problems. If you want to play single player you can just skip the login with by clicking on the X. Otherwise try logging in a few times. The new login button at the top of the screen comes in handy.

I downloaded the 1.2.16 beta 2 days ago, and was never able to login via the Module Manager, but I can login to the DCS E-Shop using the same Login/Password. So, I don't think it's due to an internet connection problem. But I don't know..

Try adding DCS World beta to the programs allowed in the Windows firewall.

Works for me now after I totally uninstalled the open beta in the DCS programs menu and re-downloaded everything. I had to reinstall all my modules again though, so beware if that's what you want to try.

I was having that problem earlier, now it tells me my logon id/password is incorrect. All worked fine initially...

I still can't login with my details =AH=_Sid, it keeps changing it to 3AH3_Sid.

 

The login worked perfect on the last beta, the current regular build, and on the website, hopefully they'll get it fixed soon.

No, I have no strange characters. I have always been able to login on the DCS website, Multiplayer, and forums. 5 Minutes ago, I came back to this thread and it would not let me post here! It gave me an error:

I'm getting "incorrect login or Password" as well. There were special characters in my password so I tried resetting it. I'm guessing it takes a while to propagate, because my non-beta install still needs the old password and the 1.5 install continues to accept neither.

get this though I'm boned because my user name has the special characters, how do I fix this and where do I report the problem, completely eliminates me from playing.
