Hi all,

Sometimes I experience some weird things with my mouse-look in 1.5 (singleplayer + multiplayer).

It rarely happens, but when i move my mouse to look around (interior and exterior view)... all goes smooth, but at a certain point while moving the mouse...the in-game movement slows down...(it feels bugged) (maybe something to do with the permanently visible cursor on screen). And sometimes I can't even move any further than a certain point.

When it occurs, I dont see any changes in my fps-counter.

When I use the hat-switch on my cheap joystick to look around, I sometimes encounter the same problem. What could be causing this? I know my game asks a lot of RAM when playing, maybe that is causing it, but I already posted the RAM issue in another thread.

The funny thing is that i have never encountered this problem pre-1.5...so I hope it's a minor thing and easy to solve.

Thanks in advance!

Im getting that too, when I look to the sea or sky the movement of mouse is smooth, but when I look over land with many objects it slows the movement of the view to about half.

I think it has nothing to do with fps which is stable and caped at 30FPS.

It happens to me only when I look right and at one zoom position. It does not happen when looking around with POV hat though.

[REPORTED]Stutter/Frame Drops when moving Camera

I've noticed that DCS takes some time to load aircraft objects in F2 view or sometimes in cockpit and usually when spectating there was some frame dips for 10 seconds and then they went away. Now with the latest update whenever I move the camera I get pretty serious frame drops. My game runs solid at around 60fps when I don't move the camera, but as soon as I do (multiplayer and singleplayer) my frames go down to 20-30.

Happy Bug Hunting!

I noticed something like it. On the cockpit view I have constant 60FPS, it's truly amazing how DCS 1.5 run smoothly on cockpit view now, but if I press F2, the FPS drops to 45/35 FPS.

My rig: Core I7 4790 + GTX 970G1 + 8GB RAM + Sandisk SSD 240GB just for games and Windows 10.

Apart from that, I really loved the new features. It's a whole new simulator.

For me it's opposite. In F2 view it's very smooth with higher fps than in cockpit view. In cockpit view I still have good fps (around 40) but the terrain looking to the side is not as fluent. It's not really stutters but like moving slow and fast, slow and fast and so on.

Already thought about vram. The 2Gb I have are full.

Do you have civilian traffic enabled? If you do, then that's probably the issue.

Disable civilian traffic and then report the result here.

It solved the problem for me... it appears that civ traffic is a fps rapist, XD

I'll try this too, I've set civilian traffic to low cause I love to shoot vehicles on the road when I see them.:megalol:

I have made the exact same observation. 2GB VRAM card as well.

Now just after the last update the system tells me that will 60fps but it feels like just 30fps in the cockpit with TrackIR will average at 60 fps, the problem is to move the view with the mouse, he says he will 60 but it does not feel fluid :(

Same here big stutter problem. 60 FPS feel like 20 with hotfix 3. Was perfectcly smooth before but now unplayable.

Just hitting shift + tab to open the chat window already causes massive stutter....

What is this?

Hotfix 2: performance great! 40/60fps

Hotfix 3: stuttering and lagging non stop, 60fps feels like 5fps

Oh, and for some reason just trying to join an aircraft in multiplayer, it takes 5 minutes to go from the "fly" button to the cockpit.

Everytime I click a button in the cockpit (turn on AC gen, anti skid etc) the sim freezes up for seconds.

Performance is horrible!

Did it reset your video quality settings, perhaps?

after update 3 I press F2 in game to get outside view, move mouse left or right and aircraft seems to spin like a kids toy spinning top. Impossible to control view.

cockpit view is perfect 60 + fps.

Same settings in update 2 and 3. About ½ fps in update 3 compare to update 2.

Is this in cockpit view only or in outside view? Does this happen when you switch cameras and then go back to cockpit view? Maybe you could just turn off external views for now and just stay in cockpit until they can figure out whats causing this?

Same issue. Terribly bad. Inside and outside of cockpit. Inside is worse. I can't look around at all.

Unless it is a very simplistic mission with not much going on, it's unplayable.
