rrohde Posted November 8, 2015 Posted November 8, 2015 Seems as if the train wheels are still not 100% aligned with the track texture, there are no rail-road crossing signs or lights, and the AI road traffic probably won't stop, but hey, being picky here. HDD is 7 times range key. Radar to 160 km, IRST to 10 km. Stay low, but never slow.

Don't think I've actually ever tested it. I think it'll depend on whether or not traffic is considered to be "scenery objects" or at least return an object with event handlers. I will investigate whether they are on a timetable. The train have been stuck, also you can see the event initiator of the Locomotive is a number. The second pic show the train destroyed by landmines. this mines was triggered to explode after I kill the infantry. I did at the moment of the passing train. While they do produce events there is no initiator value on death, nor target value when hit. I tried various versions of world.searchObjects yielding no results for the trains themselves. Trains that are parked at stations can be grabbed as they are considered to be "world objects" and are part of the game world. All things considered I'm not sure which will happen first, traffic objects becoming accessible or trains as actual moving units with AI that you can place in the editor. The right man in the wrong place makes all the difference in the world. Also when I tested it the initiator number was 0 in the debrief screen. It could very well be down to the trains that were targeted but I'm not sure how likely that is.
