PONTIAC Posted December 28, 2015 Posted December 28, 2015 in a nutshell: yes ;) What do you want to say with "in a nutshell"? I don't understand this phrase please explain it.
AG-51_Razor Posted December 28, 2015 Posted December 28, 2015 It's an English slang term for "without further explanation". So, the implication is that there is a long story behind his feeling that the F/A-18C will be delivered in 2016 but chooses not to share his source. This may be something as simple as he doesn't want to spend the time or effort to type out all his references. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
empeck Posted December 28, 2015 Posted December 28, 2015 F/A-18C, decent carrier ops, Strait of Hormuz map and immersive campaign, that's all I ask. :)

StandingCow Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 Are you sure that 2016 is realistic for F/A-18C Hornet? Nobody except ED could be sure of anything... all we can do is speculate. The 18 has been a WIP for a long time now... but it may also be dependent on other things to come out first, like carrier ops. I think it is realistic until we hear from ED that it isn't. 5900X - 32 GB 3600 RAM - 1080TI My Twitch Channel ~Moo
Steggles Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 I believe the main hold up for the F/A 18 is the A-G radar, and judging by the advancements they have made in 2015, in 2016 it could very well happen. -16AGR- 16th Air Guards Regiment is always looking for pilots - http://www.16agr.com EWRS - Early Warning Radar Script Specs: Gigabyte Sniper Z5-S Intel i5-4670k 3.4GHz OC'd 3.9GHz w/ Thermaltake 120mm Water 3.0 Pro Liquid CPU Cooler 16GB RAM Gigabyte GTX 1080 TM Hotas Warthog: SN: 06976 Saitek Pro Flight Combat Rudder Pedals TrackIR5 with TrackClipPro & Oculus Rift 2x 28" 4k UHD Monitors (3840x2160 each) + 1280x1024

das Rindvieh Posted October 11, 2016 Posted October 11, 2016 This comment does not pertain to the Tomcat. It is planned for H2 2016. Don´t know, if everybody realized that, but for me, it´s the best answer Í´ve heard for the last months... :)

Tirak Posted October 11, 2016 Posted October 11, 2016 Two changes to the list need to be made. The AH-1W Cobra was stated several times a while back to be ahead of the Hind. As of this post: https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=2920898&postcount=281, the C101CC seems to be moving along further than we all believed.

wilbur81 Posted October 11, 2016 Posted October 11, 2016 Realistically? My expectation is that the only thing we get in 2016 is DCS 2.5. This isn't me being optimistic, it's me being realistic. If I'm wrong, and we get more than that, then I'm happy to be wrong. I'm just hopeful that ED will get to a point where they focus on releasing fewer things that are actually finished rather than releasing a hundred things that are half baked. I don't believe there's even a remote chance that the Hornet, Tomcat, naval ops, etc. are out by December 31st. But again, I'm happy to be wrong. :-) I'm VERY excited, though, about the new Caucasas map and the unification that 2.5 will offer. That I think will be released within the next several months. i7 8700K @ Stock - Win11 64 - 64gb RAM - RTX 3080 12gb OC
probad Posted October 11, 2016 Posted October 11, 2016 p sure 2.5 is pushed to next year i personally only expect the spitfire out by the end of the year.
rrohde Posted October 11, 2016 Posted October 11, 2016 sure 2.5 is pushed to next year Where do you get this from? I have high hopes for 2.5 later this year!
