baltic_dragon Posted December 25, 2015 Posted December 25, 2015 (edited) Hey folks, Since we are almost in 2016 I thought I'd share some information about plans for next year when it comes to campaigns for the three planes mentioned in the title and project I am currently working on or plan to start soon. New A-10C campaign Release: Sept / Oct 2016, map: South Caucasus, working title: Operation "Crimson Dawn" The new campaign builds on experience I gathered when preparing TEW and Crimson Dawn MP mission. It will be based on the idea I used in Crimson Dawn - after years of Western sanctions and involvement in conflicts in Syria and Ukraine Russian economy collapses, which is followed by the regime change and fierce internal infighting in Kremlin. Moscow pulls out its forces from most of the outside territories, including South Ossetia and Abkhazia, however local General, Vladimir Chisov, refuses to follow orders and strengthen his grip on both provinces. He is soon declared a rebel in Russia, but due to internal problems and sheer strength of Chisov's forces he is left to do as he pleases in his new fiefdom. However, atrocities he commits quickly brings NATO forces to Georgia, and Operation Crimson Dawn is launched to destroy rebel general's forces and bring Abkhazia and South Ossetia back under control by Tbilisi. There will be no less than 20 varying missions, from CAS (including really danger close one), through CSAR, FAC(A), artillery control and others, many based on those described in great books like A-10s over Kosovo, Iraq and Afghanistan. I have so far completed 4 missions and it already amounts to more than 170 voiceovers, and around 34 pages of briefings and maps. I am pretty excited about how it comes together! New F-15C campaign Release: July / August 2016, map: South Caucasus, working title: "The Georgian War" I am really happy to announce this project where we join forces with feefifofum in order to bring you a full-length F-15C campaign. The idea here is to take real life events from 2008 war between Georgia in Russia, but mix into that a small detachment of F-15s sent by US just after the "Immediate Response" joint exercises ended on 31 July on request of the Georgians who were eager to buy some interceptors to strengthen their air forces, composed mainly of Su-25s. We will try to accurately recreate events from 7th till 12th of August, including ground battles and Russian air strikes, but then the situation will get a certain twist after escalation gets out of hand, which will lead to further hostilities and a longer (this time totally fictional) part of campaign. We have already started working on the project and what we have so far looks really good! The campaign should be at least 20 missions long, with lots of voiceovers and interesting stories from the war and the region in general, of course based on facts. Two-part campaign for A-10C Release: TBC, map: Nevada / Strait of Hormuz, working title: TBC This is an idea for the future, but plans for it are already advanced. The campaign will consist of two parts, first of which would be a Red Flag in Nevada, launched to prepare for possible deployment of US forces in the Strait of Hormuz later on in response to "Second Arab Spring", or rather "Arab Autumn" which broke out in the North Africa and Middle East, toppled many governments and strengthened ISIS grip on some of the countries in the region. The second part would be an actual campaign in the new theatre once "Strait of Hormuz" map is out. For this one I will join forces with experienced people from 319th FW, including one person who served in Nellis AFB and have seen and took part in the Red Flags held there. Mirage 2000 I am very happy to announce that I will be joining forces with RAZBAM in building official campaigns for Mirage-2000C, together with some training missions. First campaign will be based in South Caucasus and will feature both training and combat, all of course in a believable setting, with a background storyline, voiceovers etc. More information about M-2000C in this thread. I'd like to use this opportunity to wish all the best in 2016 for everyone in this great community and to thank all those who helped me in the ending year. It has been a great pleasure and I look forward to what the 2016 will bring! Happy flying! Yurgon Posted December 25, 2015 Posted December 25, 2015 Wow, sounds great! ;) Can't wait to test whatever you throw at me, except maybe for the F-15. OTOH, that would be a great opportunity to learn to fly and fight in it. :)
Cowboy10uk Posted December 25, 2015 Posted December 25, 2015 Sounds fantastic, however does this mean the current Crimson dawn MP campaign will no longer be avalible. Currently away on Xmas hols, and was hoping to download it in Jan. I will purchase the full campaign as well though. :) Are any of these going to be coop as well? Cowboy10uk [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Fighter pilots make movies, Attack pilots make history, Helicopter pilots make heros. :pilotfly: Corsair 570x Crystal Case, Intel 8700K O/clocked to 4.8ghz, 32GB Vengeance RGB Pro DDR4 3200 MHZ Ram, 2 x 1TB M2 drives, 2 x 4TB Hard Drives, Nvidia EVGA GTX 1080ti FTW, Maximus x Hero MB, H150i Cooler, 6 x Corsair LL120 RGB Fans And a bloody awful Pilot :doh:

Cowboy10uk To the contrary, I will continue to develop CD MP mission and plan to add some tasks from SP campaign to it, so it will steadily grow. I also plan to add Mirage to it as flyable aircraft. Also, I am sure there will be coop missions in F-15 campaign + some from the CD SP campaign will be added to it in coop. For more information, please visit my website. feefifofum Posted December 26, 2015 Posted December 26, 2015 Very happy to be working with the incomparable Mr. Baltic Dragon! I think we're going to have something really special for our resident Eagle drivers when it's all said and done. THE GEORGIAN WAR - OFFICIAL F-15C DLC

REDEYE_CVW-66 Posted December 27, 2015 Posted December 27, 2015 Excellent. May I ask what kind of approach you are going to use on the F-15 campaign? "Eye for an eye" was a great campaign, but it had a more "cinematic" than realistic flair, which is fine. Had some great time flying that one. Looking forward to hear more updates. Unfortunately I have not had the chance to enjoy Mr. Baltics fine work- as I have yet to learn the A-10c, but from what others are writing it seems we are in for a treat here:) Good luck gents!
baltic_dragon Posted December 27, 2015 Author Posted December 27, 2015 I haven't had a chance to play feefifofum's excellent campaign (I still can't operate the F-15 radar ;). We've agreed to take the most realistic approach possible here, although of course the fact that US F-15s are somehow involved in the 2008 Georgian war is bending the realism already. Still, the plan is to do a very throughout research on 2008 conflict, day by day, recreate mostly air strikes by the Russians and Georgians, to some extent also ground movements, and put player in the middle, where he can influence things, but not to the degree that the outcome or major events would change. On top of that there will be a lot of interesting information about the conflict itself, description of some events etc., of which you will learn during discussions with wingmen, other flights and AMC. However, around 12 August there will be a major twist in the scenario which will move player to a very hypothetical scenario of escalation of the conflict, yet still trying to keep it as much as possible to realistic actions and outcomes. Don't know if what I am saying makes too much sense, but the goal is to have a fun campaign with many interesting facts about the 2008 war. For more information, please visit my website. feefifofum Posted December 27, 2015 Posted December 27, 2015 (edited) Eye for an Eye was designed to be simple, fun and accessible to new players...more of an homage to the cheesy story-sims of the 90's. This will definitely be something of a different monster. I hope we will still be able to add cinematic moments where appropriate, but this campaign is definitely being designed with more attention to realism and detail. We are somewhat limited by the simple systems modeling in the F-15, but I hope we'll still be able to deliver a realistic experience. f4l0 Posted December 31, 2015 Posted December 31, 2015 Mirage would be nice, here the multirole aspect could be really cool! f4l0 Developer of Simshaker for Aviators Feel the brrrrttt: [Official] SimShaker for Aviators Forums thread at ED forums SimShaker for Aviators (simshaker-for-aviators.github.io)
baltic_dragon Posted December 31, 2015 Author Posted December 31, 2015 as always baltic, im on station to read lines and support your fine work if you'll tolerate me :D As always I will be happy to use your help! And many thanks for what you have done so far! As you can see lots of things are in the pipeline, so I am sure I will ask for help again more than once! Lol. Pls make a campaign to fight with nato on su25 :))) Can't force myself to start learning Russian jets. Plus I'd rather keep to high fidelity ones, not FC3 (with an exception of F-15, but here the bulk of flying and testing is on feefifofum). Mirage would be nice, here the multirole aspect could be really cool! Mirage is high on my to-do-list, but too early yet to announce anything. But I love the plane! Topcat357 Posted January 3, 2016 Posted January 3, 2016 I just wanted to say thanks for putting in the effort of making these missions/campaigns. I think I played some of your single missions long ago. I have asked for and hoped some one would make some campaigns of this quality. I will be buying them all!. Thanks again! NB
kerlix Posted January 4, 2016 Posted January 4, 2016 I think everyone will be satisfied with what he's putting together. ;) :music_whistling: ASUS Sabertooth P67 :: Intel i5-2500 3.0 GHz :: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 :: 16 GB DDR3 RAM :: Crucial 240 GB SSD :: WD Black 2TB HD :: 50" Magnavox TV as monitor :: TrackIR 5 :: Saitek X52 :: Saitek Rudder Pedals
baltic_dragon Posted January 9, 2016 Author Posted January 9, 2016 (edited) Thanks guys! I have just edited my first post, as I am happy to announce that I am joining forces with RAZBAM and will be responsible for building official campaigns and training missions for Mirage 2000-C. Of course I want to keep at least the level of fidelity from"The Enemy Within" - although as I have learned a lot since then, I think it will go at least one step further in terms of quality. Oh, and I am looking for voice actors for the campaigns, preferably with French accent, but not only. In fact all kinds of accents will be useful! Of course I am not giving up other projects - the F-15 campaign won't be affected, my second A-10C may be delayed by a month or two (I will work on it in parallel as much as possible, although focus will be on M-2000 for the time being). NeilWillis Posted January 9, 2016 Posted January 9, 2016 Excellent Baltic Dragon. I love your work. One question... Do you have any plans for multiplayer campaigns? I am sure virtual squadrons would lap them up. Maybe existing campaigns could be given a multiplayer aspect at some point?
