Game path and saved path is correct set and also DCS would start if i start it direct but DCS GUI is not able to!?

I also delete files in here:  

/<Username>/Appdata/Local/Skate_Zilla_Simulations/

Defined DCS and Game Save folder again. But no success.

I guess this tool is not working in Win11

Try Renaming /Saved Games/DCS Updater Utility/

Hi,

renaming does not solve the issue, tried to rename it to "old DCS Updater Utility"

After starting and setting up the basics for the build, it stops again with

The program is not usable anymore - is there a way how to remove it fully?

Something must be broken in this tool. But its not in saved games and not the two files in mail folder.

I would love to deinstall and reinstall, but there is not such a feature.

DCS itself runs smoothly - its just the Updater Utility which is broken in Win11

Does anyone has an idea what is this "System.IO.IEException"?

What file is it that exists which shouldn't - or better to say Updater does not want to have it existing.

Can't this tool just delete the unwanted file and create a new one?

If it has an issue with existing ones, then i assume it expects to have a fresh clean empty file.

So where the heck is the issue? Write privileges or how can i help updater to start?

i tried now different versions of updater GUI but non is working for me.

At Mudspike I found screenshots of 2.0.0.13 Build 3.26.2023

Is this a total new 2023 version? Looks very clean. Maybe this one works on my machine?

There should be the .exe and the newtonsoftjson.dll they need to be in the same folder.

Post the entire Error prompt contents so I can see which file is causing the problem.

If you want to wipe the settings file, Start Run %APPDATA%, Go Back from Roaming, then to Local, Skate Zilla Simulations (Might be Skate Zilla Graphics)

Delete that folder, re-launch.

But until I know what file it's trying to overwrite that's locked I cant really offer any instruction.

This is much needed. Looks great weirdly can't wait for this to release I miss not using the old version. MT killed it for me.

So I have a .bat file which launches my Track IR, SRS and the game with a single click. This app will also do that and more? If so, when does this latest version drop, looks sweet?

You can use the old version with MT, you just have to create a link - it's covered a couple of pages back. Basically rename the bin\dcs.exe to something e.g. bin\dcs.st.exe, then use mklink to link bin-mt\dcs.exe to bin\dcs.exe

Quick Update:
Work has been minimal over the last 10 or so days, due to personal ailments as well as a hardware failure.

Rest Assured it's getting closer, I have been checking things off one by one the last few months,
Granted I have added things to the checklist; However, the moving finish line ("Feature Creeping") has been held to a minimum as much as I can.

I can't give a definite release date, as when my new hardware arrives, I have to catch up, as well as integrate a few functions and test those.

May / June would be a good Time frame, but even that's not firm.

Hi @SkateZilla Since the last update (Normandy one) I cannot make use of the presets although the presets are there and initialy it seems the utility loads them.

Unfortunately this is due to the nature of how the old App was written,
The new App wont have this problem.

So that means that the old app is not usable anymore for preset loading.

The App Merely Makes Alternate Options.lua Files and Moves them back and forth,

The Log attached showed this is happening correctly.

Unfortunately though, regardless of the option selected nothing changes.
