Stupid? There isn't an update today, probably because something big is on the horizon. An amalgamation of 1.5 and 2.0 into 2.5 maybe? To say the announcement they have made is stupid because there is no sign of the eagerly awaited update seems a little excessive to me.

I have DCS 2.0 with the vegas map, but woll start to use it when the things stuck to the center view (in VR ) goes, i think its a selector pointer (double yuk)

be great if the 1.5 map can also be used in V 2.0 because i like that one better

does anyone know if the 1944 map is due this year -I'll buy it even if its a beta version

What was the problem with the radio? Is there a list of current problems anywhere?

The Text was in the Top Right Corner, which no matter how you hard you tried to look, it was not visible in VR since the Menu moved with the view.

Any chance we could make the ejection seat in the A10 clickable in the cockpit as finding the keys on keyboard whlist in VR is hard

I bought a 10 euro numpad and I glued some small bolts to the keys in unique patterns. The bolts help me identify the keys with my finger. I use these keys for time acceleration, NVG´s, to center the rift view, and I will probably use the large enter key for the ejection seat. I put the numpad right next to my throttle so I can always find it with my left hand. I plan to assign the left- and right mouse buttons the numpad as well when that feature is implemented. So there is a 10 euro solution to your problem

I bought a razer tartarus chroma (one handed keypad thing) and put it to the left of the throttle. I bound the radio menu, recenter view and F1-F12 on it. I also did something similar and took some of the little one's stickers and put them on certain keys, some of the stickers also have different textures. It's like blind flying with braille!

Now, how to stop the kiddies from peeling the stickers off...

Oh, OK...

I wonder, would it help performance, if there was an option to turn the pre-view window off?

And, an option for adjusting the size also? This would be a nice extra feature for those of us who like making video's.

A question, can 90 fps actually be reached in DCS on Rift currently (since Rift displays run 90 Hz and if I understand correctly 90 fps will be needed for fluent headtracking? Or will 50-60 fps do same?)

Ok I'm sure I'll have to upgrade my GTX 960 to 1070/1060, but will my i7 2600k @ 4.4 GHz actually perform enough to not bottleneck in DCS on Rift?

Yep I get a steady 90fps buddy. Sometimes I get a slight dip but 99% it's 90fps

Jamison how much GHz did u OC ur CPU, 5 GHz? (Since u water cool :P ) ? And can u pls run the XTU (free Intel program https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/24075/Intel-Extreme-Tuning-Utility-Intel-XTU ) benchmark and post the score? (I expect u to get around 1000, according to HWbot) I just tested mine, I got 813 (4.4 GHz), so looks like I'll get ~ 20% less fps, which COULD mean I could only get 72-80 fps I guess? (assuming 1060/-70 would reach 90 fps in VR).

I can only sustain 90 FPS if I turn off shadows. Unfortunately, I find that no shadows is a huge immersion breaker. With shadows on, I spend most of the time at 45 FPS.

While I'd rather have 90, 45 FPS is still playable because of ATW. As long as you have the GPU overhead you should get ATW frames at 90 FPS no matter what the in-game framerate is.

Turning it off will not increase performance, it's simply a copy of what's being rendered in the left eye of the rift.

Ah thx 4 the reply! Can you please check (using MSI Afterburner for example) your GPU usage during play? Just very curious how much % GPU usage on 1080, will it show 99, 95 or just 70-90 % ? :)

And according to HWbot your CPU @4.5 GHz might score up to 1128 in XTU ! o_O (Would u want to run the benchmark and post result here?) And how much CPU usage u get in DCS (VR), all 4 cores at 70-80 % ? (Task manager)

Can't wait to get an idea what CPU/GPU recommended requirements are for DCS VR !

Thanks for performance optimizations in recent update! I am playing on constant 90fps now.

Yer I get a constant 90fps now. I tried 1.5.3 but it's terrible;)

I love 1.5.4:)

Not seeing any fps improvements here with 1.5.4. I am noticing terrible vegetation ghosting at low altitude though where it appears to pop in and out and leave ghosted remnants of itself as it does. Very distracting.
