Labels format now forced in multiplayer game from mission file

Is this in the Mission Editor? Where? How? Or do you manually edit something in the mission file? Could someone explain this a bit, please?

Yeah , would love to have confirmation about that. Absolute game changer for helo ops.

 

Nice start to the weekend though. Updates to all three installs and those 1.5/ 2.5 before and after shots - Outstanding!!

The labels option is available under the "Set Mission Options" button - just tick enforce, and leave the right hand side box unchecked for labels off, or checked for labels on.

 

As to how you do it by manually editing the mission file - sorry, not tried that.

Can someone tell me, if the old airbases like Krasnodar or Sochi get an overhaul to the the standart of the new airbases like Mozdok or Batumi, or do they only get new textures. On the pics it seems, that they only get new textures. This would be a little drawback to all the awsome news, because i like the idea of ED to have standards ,and i think one map needs one quality standard for all the airbases.

that would be very nice and should be done. i love vaziani airbase. in my opinion and regarding the amazing overall look of 2.5.0 it´s an absolutely must have to make all airbases look like vaziani.

Creat a

Config/View/Labels.lua

File in your mission file

 

Mission Editor will kill this lua file after saving the mission. You must add it manually after edit.

Those 2.5 screenshots are very nice. But someone please tell us if there will be more hardware demand on this ? Do we need to upgrade hardware for the new 2.5 ?

He meant the new Option to have the label settings (as in appearance) forced!

 

Not tried, yet, but in theories you need to pack a customized labels.lua into the MIZ archive.

I doubt anyone knows for sure currently, but IMHO if Nevada is any indication I suspect performance will be pretty good. My system runs DCSW2 much better and more consistent fps wise than 1.5.

 

I am sure things can change as development continues but I have high hope I will be able to run 2.5 very well.

Remember ED's biggest priority right now is the merge, which both patches coming out at the same time may be a sign things are close.

 

When will that happent ?
