OK, now you've got my attention. How would you as a mission designer, achieve that area denial scenario?

I don't need help, thank you

... Maybe you like to fly with unlimited ammo and invulnerability turned on - not fun imho...

Just because YOU can't use your imagination doesn't mean you are right...

Just to make sure:

I don't see your comments adding any value to the conversation.

My imagination is fine and trust me I can use it better than you may think as you don't know me.

Your attitude towards different opinions is one of the behavioral problems exhibited by online users that make me exclusively single player. I could say more, but I want to save my hatchet for more thrilling opponent.

Also it seems you missed my point completely as I was not negating neither presence nor usability of cruise missiles in DCS World but I was merely unwinding my disappointment over recently posted screenshots that ED gave us in lieu of real progress update.

ED shares what they have available to share at any given time, at this time this is all they had to share, the other option is they dont share anything until its in the patch notes, its really that simple. Me personally, I appreciate any scrap of info they throw my way, I love seeing updates on anything, even if its something deemed small when it comes to my interests with DCS.

That said, lets keep the discussion on the news updates we get.

About the cruise missiles: I made a single player mission in DCS A-10C years ago with a B-52 launching a DEAD strike against fixed EWR and SAM positions to clear a corridor for a strike force on the ground supported by CAS...

It was pretty cool, you had to time your approach to the AO very precisely.

Too early and you ran into a wall of nasty missiles, too late and the ground forces got their ass handed to them..

So if a B-52 can launch a decent cruise missile strike that fit perfectly into a mission, why shouldn't a russian missile cruiser? ;)

Probably have a trigger that if an AGM flies over the perimeter of the airfield, spawn some mines on the runway and taxi ways. However, last I saw, a lot of mines tends to lead to a client crash.

Technically there's three unknown modules at this point

Know and use all the capabilities in your airplane. If you don't, sooner or later, some guy who does use them all will kick your ass.

DCS modules are built up to a spec, not down to a schedule.

In order to utilize a system to your advantage, you must know how it works.

Viggen....

You can already see the viggen labeled along with the corsair and the tomcat. One of them is most likely behind however the two unannounced modules might be one of the unannounced aircraft coming from leatherneck so that leaves just one more as a mystery
