I had an issue with Mi-8 comms menu being disabled after taking off. I did came back after landing (or rather crash landing close to farp) but only "F12 - exit" option got back - so no way to drop troops.

Don't know if this is on purpose (due to SRS for instance). I didn't see that in other airplanes (Ka-50, Su-25T, MiG-21, M-2000C). Being able to check the PAC intell during the flight is quite useful but it's not possible if the commns menu doesn't work.

Hey guys, a friend of mine and me want to fly together, sadly he chose the blue side and i chose the red side. Is there a chance that his choice can be undone? We want to support the red side, but there seems to be no admin online whenever we look for it, so i have to ask here.

Picking up downed pilots does not seem to give you life back

It seems that there is some inconsistencies with the airbase defenses at Anapa. We attacked it last night and found 5 SA8 and a SA15 Tor. The extra SA8 and the Tor are what are off. This is the only base that I have seen out of all of them that has these extras.

 

Also, could someone look into why Kras P does not allow for refuel and rearm when it is cap'd until you drive a vehicle on it?

 

Continue to love the server. Just wanted to bring these to things out.

People use both Simple Radio and TS3 to cover all eventualities.

Restarted the map and registrations.

Blue won during the testing round :) We will try some more fixes and stuff during the week.

Thoughts on giving red the A-10 since the sead missiles are broken at the moment.

-1 as Red have the Ka-50. IMO the way to go is dedicated aircrafts for both sides while keeping it reasonable from perspective of what is possible due to modules availability in DCS at given moment.

The KA50 is nowhere near as capable as the A-10C. You can hit more targets much quicker and from a greater range in the A-10C than the KA. Say what you will, but the A-10C was on both teams through round 6 or 7 and those were some of the most balanced and fun rounds.

 

On top of evening the arms race it might help in the team balance a bit more by allowing the A-10C pilots to be on both teams.

As much as I like NATO vs Warsaw PACT it's no longer feasible IMO. I think we got exactly one round where it wasn't a complete drag for Redfor due to a nearly equal amount of DCS level modules on both sides.

 

Right now it sucks being on Redfor because we don't get any of the high fidelity modules unless we want to fly choppers, and that just doesn't work well in Blue Quake.

 

I find myself agreeing to go back to sharing strike/chopper and DCS level fighters.

Even if you have the Mirage atm, but yeah.

 

I guess for blueflag the symetrical setup was better. Its nice having block vs nato. But atm in DCS its kinda painfull.

Frankenderp and RvE Seal please get into Buddyspike teamspeak ASAP! Being in GCI without TS is useless (for all of us who are in teamspeak)... (and u'r not even in SRS...)

They were on their own TS. I joined red channel and it was all russian being spoken. There were more gci slots open so no worries.

Yeah me doing GCI now, but sad to see that none of the 18 pilots are in teamspeak... (Only Kerrac is here with me :P )

 

Also, Greg, when can 1st person driving SAM vehicles testing finally begin? :) (been waiting to ask this question again since I last asked about this some months ago...) With the new network code this should be tested as soon as possible :)

Daniel, with all due respect to the BS team, they just moved servers and the practice round has seen substantial lag and warping. At this point, with engine limitations, id say making the rounds simpler is a better idea than adding new wrinkles.

I think it should be the opposite. Since this is only for testing why not throw (one by one) any new scripts, features or something like that and see how it all go.

Oh alright, didn't know that lag and warping has been going on on the server (from the 1-2 posts I thought only very rarely occuring?)

 

Just talked to RvE guys, we need Ka-50 pilots in team red urgently (since Su-25T MPU is broken... Still waiting for a fix by ED. I have the Ka-50, managed to fly it some time ago but would need sb. to fly with me. But I do prefer doing GCI/CAP. So please, any team red Ka-50 pilot here contact me, so we can fly together) ofc. we also then need 1-2 transport heli pilots.
