Hello guys,

since the last update i have a severe problem with the gazelle. In this state im not able to fly the airframe.

Description:

The manual trim system (up, down, left, right) is inverted and if used doesnt allow proper input. Trying to trim up will put your nose down (even after only a few "clicks" on the joystick it will almost flip me over.

The only option to achieve level flight is to manually hold your stick in the right position.

DCS Version: 1.5.5.58891

Steam: -

Map: Black Sea Map

SP/MP: SP and MP

Reproducible: Everytime i fly around in the Gazelle (from MP sessions: not everyone seems to be affected by this issue)

Step to Reproduce: Normal start up (gazelle cold start tutorial) -> take off -> try trimming

Controllers: X55, but problem also occured using keyboard input.

OS: Windows 7

Hope this will get fixed soon.

Greetings

Parkbank

FYI:

I reinstalled the module and deleted my bindings in the savedgames/dcs folder.

Nothing helped. Also not everyone seems to be influenced by this bug.

Next step would be a complete reinstallation of DCS. But i rather would not do that unless im sure it would fix the issue.

Same Issue here with Thrustmaster HOTAS Warthog and VKB Rudder Pedals, Single Player, DCS 1.5.5 Public release and BETA Release. I7-6700K, 32GB RAM, GTX 1070 4GB. Pitch and Roll trim axes are reversed.

I also noticed that after I applied the magnetic brake trim, then released the trim, I could not apply Magnetic Trim again. I don't think that's correct. Magnetic Trim should be enabled and released as many times as desired.

I noticed the trim problem was initially reported over 9 days ago and Trouble Tickets were issued.

What's the status, Please?

It's on the test schedule for this week. Once we test it on our version with debugging on we can narrow the issue down and fix it.

Now that the Gazelle has been restored in DCS 2 NTTR, the Trim problem is now affecting DCS 1.5.5 and DCS 2.0.4 - NTTR.

Any news from the scheduled test?

Hey johnson, this bug is already reported no need to bring it everywhere ;)

The bug was reported to be in DCS 1.5.5. I wanted Poly to understand that the bug was also in DCS 2.0. Also, this bug is serious IMO and in the opinion of others affected. The bug was reported 10 days ago and no word yet other than it's on this weeks test schedule, I assume to verify that the bug is "real". Finally, 10 days is more than a reasonable length of time in terms of waiting to hear from the developer . So, guilty for "spreading it around". ;)

We understand. Looking into it. Still on the list for this weeks test flight and should be done soon. After that we can start working on a fix.

Found the answer:

The USE FF option was on in all three of my DCS installs.

I know I had it off but I have no idea when it crept back to "on".

Anyhow, clear that option and all is well with the Trim. :)

Would be awesome if that is the problem! Ill test it out immediately.

Must have been the last update turning it on by default. I never touched that option....

Turning off FFB does fix it yes. I hope this will get sorted quite soon so we can have working FFB with the trims. Now its reversed. The stick moves a mile when you trim and the FFB stick just stays the same.

It's still broken. At least for me. Disabling FF didn't solve the problem. Devs, do something...

Try going back and turning the FFB on, getting out of the game, then going back in , turning it off again, and going back out of the game. Then come back in.

Sometimes it doesn't switch off correctly. It may not work, but it may work. It has for me in the past.

But yes...the issue is quite annoying. Especially what trigen is talking about.

It'll get fixed.

I tried the gazelle today and it felt like a forgotten step child. That sound bug was still there and trim didn't function at all, the buttons did make it fly strange, but I had no indication of normal trim. Trim switch and mag break were both enabled, so not sure what was up. It flew strange and the sound bug was very annoying. The trim just is odd, or doesn't work.

All on a fresh install on a new computer. other aircraft seem ok.

I understand that PC has made a "statement" but now it seems the purchase is no good.We have no clear indication what is up with PC and no timeline for when this thing can get fixed up. I get there are some legal things involved, but to stay completely silent, I don't appreciate that at all, just seems out of place for a product that is getting degraded as time goes on. Please please do not send the hate my way for expressing my displeasure. I think I have done it in a respectful manner, as well as realizing that my opinions are my own.

edit: After several attempts to disable FF (force feedback) since i'm on an x52pro, the setting finally stuck, and for at least one flight now, I got trim back to normal. I still wish there was a warning to disable that feature or a default since a majority of us don't have FF, especially since they don't make them anymore!
