It usually takes a good week to get a build ready to push out, especially adding another module, but I really cant say, I am still praying to the sim gods and we get a surprise tomorrow... gonna go home and sacrifice one of my old Janes disks :)

This is a simulation, everything fits everywhere, you are only limited by your imagination :)

I mean come on, high speed, low level in NTTR with the Viggen, whats not to love :)

Agree to that, that's why I am looking towards the new update so much. Although you must admit that the Spitfire simply only looks "right" over green English pastures rarther than Nevada desert. While it is true that some Spits saw action over North Africa (probably not exactly "our" version, don't know much about Spitfire except it is a damn hot looking warbird!), downtown Las Vegas is still a far way from WWII Tobruk.

And well, having dedicated anti-ship plane in a map that does not even allow you to place ships is, uhm... Although about that low level flight bit, I think I will even forget about those missing snow-covered fir trees at that moment. ;)

After all, as I said earlier, main thing to me is that 2.0 runs AND looks far better that current 1.5. So until 2.5 or at least 2.0 Normandy, I think NTTR will still be my favourite playground. Oh and by the way, anyone else looking forward to doing short-field anti-shipping operations with the Viggen in Normandy? :D

Yeah I really can't wait till 2.5 is out. It's gonna be better for everyone. Be better for consumers because we don't need to have two installs, and we won't have one version behind the other. And it'll be better for ED because they don't need to work on keeping two separate versions updated.

Three actualy. You forgot Poland... err I mean, you forgot the Open Beta.

Now its looking like the Viggen update might not make it to ED in time for the update tomorrow, if this is the case, then the Viggen will not be available in 2.0 yet. Sorry guys.

Spitfire is still a go though.

:( OW! That's a bummer. Still hope they will make it, but statements like that usualy mean one may safely assume the opposite. Is there at least any info whether the latest Mi-8 update will be in?

I'll join you in the sacrifice also. I have a few of the old Janes CD's. I might throw in the Falcon 3.0 floppys I have too! :D

Those old disks won't count for much as a sacrifice. It's rather like sacrificing a retired prostitute instead of a virgin. It's just not the same thing.

Let's hope Viggen will make it to Nevada tomorrow, even without the sacrifice. :D

Here's hoping it isn't too far away.

:)

I think we will probably have two installs because I suspect that there will be a 2.5x beta version in order to test new items as well as the 2.5x stable version.

Yes, eventually we will get back to two, 2.5.x release and 2.5.x Early Access. Or at least I would assume that is how it will all play out.

I would rather have 1.5.6 open beta updated to fix the performance problems and maybe some of the viggen bugs (I'm waiting for AI anti ship support). Otherwise they will do to many things at the same time. I'm enjoying viggen anti ship missions, which would be impossible in Nevada.

Viggen support in 2.x would mean that all missions need to be completely rewritten from scratch. That is not a task of one week.

Well, lets see what we will get today. Every Friday is Christmas.

You're right. That's interesting, because yesterday it has been said it would be part of todays update together with the Spit. I guess there have been some problems.

Is it possible they could push another update to 2.0 in the middle of the week to bring it in? :music_whistling:
