Hi guys, any update of this beautiful mod?

Anyway, it's unbelievable that almost in 2021 we still get very limited and poorly designed default static objects by ED...

Thanks for the work on the VPC Airfield Equipemt MOD> It has inspired several base builds of which I am currently releasing.

For me its essential for the Caucasus Map airfields - which are so bare. 

Here is one of my base builds (Fast Jet training base - RAF Sukhumi)

On your File description you are directing people to the now obsolete original VPC download link .. may I suggest to use my copy of the Mod which includes patches that the Mod's author  ( @voc ) did and also my own edits to disable lighting of the objects since this feature no longer works in DCS, as well as eliminate inocuous error messages that the Mod left on the log of DCS:

I'm experiencing a crash with DCS 2.7 with VPC objects in ME  something related to "omni lights".

Did you get the same?

yep. Had to remove VPC objects from mission, and then it is ok

Delete the VP-LIGHTING TOWER.edm file in "Mods \ tech \ VPC Airfield Equipment \ Shapes",  works for me.

You can open the mission and edit it, but the problem persists when starting the mission.

Same here, I will contact the Mod's author ( @voc ) to see if he can fix it by removing the reference to that shader (if it is possible).

Hi guys, check the last post in this thread. It seems to fix the problem. From what i can see, it seems 2 filesnames were changed in the 2.7 update.

just make a copy of fake_omni_lights2.fx and fake_spot_lights2.fx in your bazar/shaders/model folder and rename it ...

Also, fortunately the two added files don't seem to impact the Integrity Check .. I went online and was able to connect and play on several public servers.

you have to download the updated pack from the link from Rudel_chw   and then go to your installation folder bazar/shaders/model and make a copy of fake_omni_lights2.fx AND and fake_spot_lights2.fx ... rename to fake_omni_lights.fx and fake_spot_lights.fx put it there too. let all files stay in place. no delete of files necessary

Unfortunately, the dcs changes since january need applying a small fix for a couple of files, so read all the posts starting with the one I linked.
