AeroGator's post above sums it up nicely:

"All we could, we did. Now it is all being made at sub-contracted factories.

All we can do is patrol the factories by regularly visiting them and giving kicks.

That's exactly where Ilya is leaving for right this very moment, a PCB factory.

Now all we (and you) can do is pray and wait.

If all factories do their job well, then we will ship on time."

So, I think there was some confusion earlier about the possibility of the delay from the 1st to the 15th was the twist adapter patent? Odd because that isn't what is shipping out.

Here's the official news regarding this from VKB HQ: https://vkbcontrollers.com/?p=7639

VKB HQ initiating the patent paperwork and the self-imposed requirement to ensure "twist-ready" compatibility with all MCG grips as well before they ship.

I am in the same boat... 2x MCG PROs have my name on it, one for my Gunfighter Pro, and one for my Fat Black Mamba Mk.III (my side stick). Waiting is the hardest part.

Any news on when the mcg will be available for european customers? I find it hard to understand why US customers can preorder, but europeans can't.

Yes, in Q1 of 2018. :)

Well, European seller work with VKB since King Cobra -a upgrade version of (Defender) Cobra M5 days - when delays are mounts, so he know well that VKB ETA promises are just... promises. :)

Then only taking order after the new products arrive in their store is smart and avoid lot of complains/compalications.

Well as I read it, Dec 15th is the new date for our cards to be charged, not necessarily a date they will be shipped?

Thanks, Sokol. You always seem to have the answer I am looking for, wherever I have a question :-)

I'll go with your suggestion then, and wait for it to arrive in the store. I just hope it won't be too long now. I hate flying jets with my X-56 stick when I've gotten used to flying ww2 planes with my Baur stick. The X-56 base is just awful.

MCG profile AP question

Apologies if this has been asked before - I would like to know if the buttons/switches on the MCG can be programmed for a press or release or hold option - similar to the WH Target Script.

Thanks,

Almost a week out from anticipated "availability" date (whether this is shipping as well is not clear) ... is this still looking like it is on track?

I'm getting a little concerned - not for the quality of the product, but for after sales support and programming capability of the software. Sort of reminds me of the phrase: beware of buying a "pig in a poke". :)

I'm right on the cusp of leaving my order in or withdrawing.

Look at the excerpt from the manual for the configurator, this does not include new functions that have appeared recently. I think this will reassure you about the appointment of functions on the buttons. I am sure that you will be satisfied.

Physical button functions

Regardless of contact maker physical realization of its line can execute the following

functions.

▼ Button — simple button,

▼ Button alternative — button with fixation,

▼ ButtonS — button under control of subshifts ##16,

▼ ButtonX — button under control of subshift #7,

▼ Shift — button modifier,

▼ SubShift — subshift, additional button modifier,

▼ Toggle — toggle switch,

▼ Encoder — encoder,

▼ POV switch — HAT switch,

▼ Generator — generator,

▼ Tempo — twofunctionbutton; output depends of pressing time,

▼ Fix_Axes — axes modifier,

▼ AuxAxes — axes mapping,

▼ Cyclic Switch — cyclic switch,

▼ Trimmer — axis trimmer,

▼ Curves — dynamic axis response curve switch,

▼ Sync — toggle synchronizer,

▼ RPB — button replicator,

▼ OFF — expulsion button from the processing,

▼ NoF — no function.

Just in the above brief outline, there does seem to be a complexity, should one wish to program presses. I currently use the Target Scripts for programming my HOTAS and can do much more than what DCS provides. I hope to be able to do the same/similar with the MCG. Looks like a bit of a learning curve to work with two programming sets. I still will use the WH Throttle.

Thanks for the feedback. Very interesting and helps.

Cheers,

$99 for the grip or the grip and its base? I have tmwh can the base fit its four screw holes without plate? In other words, do I need a fresh wooden attachment to the chair or will mcg base fit into warthog stick screw holes

6 cm x 6 cm square holes?
