I think I am going to throw in the towel for today. Got 2.1 just fine, no way to figure out how to get Normandy Map and Assett Pack now.

Nothing in Module Manager, have launched 2.1 four times now, tried SkateZilla's GUI utility and it not seeming to do anything either.

 

Perhaps it might show up in Module Manager at some point later... little frustrated right now.

Post in the NTTR/Bugs Section just note it's 2.1

 

Also How long did you wait? sometimes the maps seem to take forever to load the first time.

 

Quite a few minutes, which seemed a bit excessive for an SSD drive. And those clipmap errors in logs are kind of worrying.

 

But OK, just for a good measure I'll try cleanup + repair this time, will run some tests and if it still doesn't help, will go and report in the relevant section, thanks!

i7 9700K @ stock speed, single GTX1070, 32 gigs of RAM, TH Warthog, MFG Crosswind, Win10.

Which versions can we install the Asset Pack into? The Newsletter says it will work with v1.5.

 

2.1 so far only, I dont think it's added to 1.5 yet (likely w/ Next Patch)./

Any tip for rising up my DL speed it's 3 hours now i'm downloading the patch and i'm at the 56% @256 kb/s my connection usually has a DL ratio of 3.6 3.7 Mb/s, please help i'm going mad

Open Utility Choose to manage open alpha, click on Terrains and tech Modules, Check Normandy and WWII Assets Checkboxes, Click install selected modules, then activate them when it finishes.

Yes thanks , that is what I have tried but can't really tell that it is actually doing anything after I click install selected modules?

 

Edit: OK got it, had not selected build to manage in drop down box - duh. Thanks!

did you try to use refresh, sometimes it does not load first time if the server is busy

Sorry, SkateZilla, I'm dumb. Where is "Utility"? Is that the Updater Utility? If so, how do I get a version for 2.0?

My 2.1 download is at 65%. I think I'll do something productive and particularly trying to survive my Fw 190D-9 take offs and landings in 1.5.6.

When all else fails, READ THE INSTRUCTIONS!

1/3 of the way through the download, had to use HTTP method as torrent stuck at 0.0%.

 

Doing this, btw, on a road trip with my 4g smartphone hooked to my laptop...

Still Nothing.

 

Hi, I'm in the UK and so far nothing, no luck using the manual updater either, although to be fair, I've never managed to get the updater to work. I've only ever been able to update when first starting the program.

Disappointing, but, I guess after waiting this long another day wont matter!

you are sure you are using DCS open alpha ?

 

can you attach your autoupdate_log.txt from your dcs root folder

6 hours in and I've still got 1Gb to go on 2.1! Obviously the servers are very busy, but what I don't understand is if the Peers are limited to around 50, then I can't see the issue. Normal downloads do 50 peers as well, and I normally get around 2-3Mb/s. At the moment, it's around 100kb/s.

have you tried command prompt?

Whew finally got it all installed after some trial and tribulations.

 

Going to have to really do some adjustments on my settings I think for VR.

Also notice oftentimes when I start DSC I get a no internet connection error message, have to just keep trying. I assumed because of all the high traffic with all the downloading going on right now.

 

Will try and spend some quality time with it tomorrow.

I've learnt something tonight! I wasn't even aware of the update option in the start menu, I've always used the desktop shortcut.

I first ran the program as usual, no update, then tried running the updater in the Bin folder several times, but again nothing.

I just tried the start menu method you suggested and it's started to download the patch.
