for the amount of monies it cost to buy a plane or module, you would think they would make patches as a nice incentive , something tangible to have i.e velcro backing you can wear or even a regular patch you can sew on, and show off as a memento of what you had purchased.

Remember back in the day the stuff these companies use to put in the box you bought.

Now the digital world there is nothing tangible..

your thoughts..

ED you think we can make this happen and make retro purchases, of patches, there is a business out that can can offer this kind of business model.

Not as part of the module. Cost would be huge.

Buying them, storing them, postage (globally!). Nah.

Could ED offer them as extras via the store? Yeah, sure.

They already have your address, when you purchase your digital non tangible product. which would be automatically sent to you.

Yes...and what's your point?

If they have to hold a stock of badges, considering the modules are digital, it means they'd have to physically ship the badge.

ED might not hold the stock in Russia, but someone will have to, and they'll be shipped from there.

On a ~$50 module, that's going to be $5-10 depending on where you are in the world. Postage isn't cheap these days.

Personally, I'd rather not see them bump up the cost of the modules to cover it.

Merch would be awesome.

The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance.

Merch and its logistics shouldn't be mandatory to be included in the product or the modules would have a prohibitive pricetag in certain parts of the world.

One can easily buy patches of all kinds on the internet of all sorts of authenticity or make their own to celebrate the experience, memories or to enrich their own rig space.

Certain editions available for those who want to pay more and receive certain merchs alongside with, it is sure very welcome.

One could say that ED themselves are missing out a lot on the idea of merchandising, though. Thing is, though, I personally would rather have something DCS inspired than a mere company logo.

I was just thinking this today. I'd definitely love some mod patches and other DCS merch.

IMO people who aren’t in the military wearing military style patches is cringeworthy. Unless you’re a kid… 😶 Or these guys 🤣
