This does indeed seem exciting! My fear is that because this update is “touch native” we are going to have the continued problem of silly “hands” in and around the cockpit. MS Odyssey Home is much better than Oculus so there's some catch up there. I'm really hoping that they improved the performance and that will lead to modicum of improvement in DCS. Well how it all works out of course remains to be seen, but I see it as bringing most everything I need into the headset, rather than having to go back and forth between headset and monitor. It will - should - provide a lot more functionality from within the Oculus experience over what is provided now. I don't think that is what is getting people excited here. I think it is the ability to bring in various other things into your current game. Although I don't think that is what this Oculus update is about. Its not all that clear. If its just a desktop in VR then its no big deal.
