Against the backdrop of all the fanfare with the AV-8NA release, thanks to the Razbam team for an awesome update to the Mirage, the flight model improvements are really nice in lower speeds. I'm not sure what the real Mirage's behaviour is, but I find you have be more dynamic with the controls now, the FBW system doesn't dominate in directional authority like it used to, especially on approach and landing rollout. I personally like it like this as it makes it more interesting and fun to fly.

Good job!

I don't test for bugs, but when I do I do it in production.

I mean, unless you are a real Mirage pilot, which you are not, it's sounds a bit silly to say that about a simulator without giving any constructive criticism

Yup, the only negative thing about this update is that it took so long ;-)

I am really really happy with both the Mirage fixes and the Harrier! Dev response has been excellent as well these past few days :)

Hi guys,

When does this beta branch update become part of the main updates that comes through the regular path?

When the beta is finished. :)

Another update without patchnotes for the Mirage, at least the official ones that ED post have not been updated in regards to the Mirage since january.

I have raised questions about this in spring when I started noticing this trend of little changes not making it into the patchnotes. ED people said RAZBAM is to blame, Zeus said he submitted the changes to ED. So something is going wrong in this process and I wonder what that is.

I don't want to be a scavenger for information, I want to have a place to go to when I need to know something (similar frustrations as with the manual and the way I tought myself how to operate the M2K through the forum/videos/trial and error)

I understand that but I’m not clear how long that takes. I don’t usually get the beta updates, but rather I wait till it comes through on the updater. Basically I’m confused about how the beta process works. If you can enlighten me I’d appreciate it...

When Razbam says, they submittet their changes to ED, they are usually talking about the changes of the program code, not the change log.

Hi pngflyer,

As an average - it seems that when a new update is introduced to the Beta branch - providing no major bugs are found by the community and further evaluation by the beta teams that it is stable - it can be between 1 and 2 weeks sometimes within a month.

It really depends on the nature of the update. As far as early release aircraft, they are not usually released to stable branch until all features are working and no game stopping bugs are found. Early release on the beta branch, then full beta branch, then stable branch is the usual sequence.

Cheers,

Cats . . . .

ps: I gather you prefer to fly only the stable branch - you can change your install to a beta install and back again to stable if you want. Very easy and saves having to download both branches using up valuable HD space. or . . . . like many of us - have three installs - 2.xx, 1.xxbeta and 1.xxstable. For me, I just have the beta branch and 2.xx on my system. Of course, this will all be moot in a few weeks when the merge is expected to take place AS A BETA. :)

Thank you, but I already knew that. What I am specifically concerned about is that these items don't appear in the official ED updates changelogs. This has been going on since january and I wonder what exactly is going on.

Looking for info that you definetly need for a "study sim" in different places is not very convenient, and it just looks unprofessional (just like the situation with the manual, eh I'm repeating myself).
