Ok can we get a tally on what actually works and the procedures? Also updated manual?

as i understood it (and tested):

AFC - attitude hold

AltHold - only works after afc is on

 

you can steer with TrimHat when afc is on

'controlling' the Ka50 feels like a discussion with the Autopilot and trim system about the flight direction.

This is why we need those damn changelogs. Who knows whats working we dont know about? Since when does alt holf work?

Yes the attitude hold functions are awesome. Makes looking through the straw so much easier

Bro, pls, those are changelogs for the last week not this one.

 

Latest changelogs still haven't been released

 

Just saying that a changelog is usually provided and this is where it can be found, in addition to what RAZBAM may provide on their forum. :thumbup:

Guys. With latest update, I can't flip up ALT and AFC switches. They won't move up.

Can you move them?

Yes they move up, you have to be pretty wings level for the attitude hold and in levelish flight for altitude hold or they don't engage.

I heard that these will automatically trim the aircraft. Is that true? I have to trim so much that by the time I get to even use the AP I'm already trimmed out, and don't notice a difference.

The switches won't toggle/actuate on the ground.

 

 

.. need to be in the air.

It seems to yes, it trimmed out my roll yesterday so much so it took ages to get it back to normal with AP off, not sure if the real jet has a trim reset but we badly need one (couldn't see anything in the control settings?)

 

This occured when I released a GBU16 and the AP trimmed out the flight automatically. Upon taking back control to avoid ground fire the AP trim didnt reset so I was stuck fighting an asymmetric jet with horrendous trim whilst avoiding being shot!

How good is the AV8B's autopilot IRL?

With AFC & ALT on, is it suppose to disconnect after firing an Maverick?

 

I.e A10-C doesn't display the same behavior.
