Guest IguanaKing Posted February 25, 2007 Posted February 25, 2007 Wishes for a speedy recovery from me as well, Gys. Almost had a car accident myself yesterday, came within inches of a guy who ran a red light. I managed to get close enough afterward so I could read his plates, and positively identify him when I take him to court. The guy damn near ran down a group of little kids crossing the street in his desperation to avoid being identified.

Viper101 Posted February 25, 2007 Author Posted February 25, 2007 Thats pretty selfish. im just saying that it will. i still have the respect towards him. hes a nice guy and im friends with him and that once he recovers we are going to get back to work :). from what it sounds, he doesnt even know when he is allowed to leave...so that isnt really good news, but at the same time, if he is awake and can type a PM to me on a laptop........he will recover just fine:D [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Guest IguanaKing Posted February 25, 2007 Posted February 25, 2007 Let's just keep in mind, if Viper didn't care about the guy...well...this thread never would have been started. :smilewink: Thanks for letting us know about his condition, Viper. We're all pulling for him. I'm sure you were just teasing about the F-14D thing, and he'll get a good laugh out of it. Doh!!! Hopefully no broken ribs or vertebrae, laughter definitely sucks in that situation. :D

Pilotasso Posted February 26, 2007 Posted February 26, 2007 Dang... Get well Gys. HAd one street racer car crash into my neighbors front yard wall almost ending in his living room, he came back to apologize after he tried to run away with a torn front axis and the police being notified and called after his licence plate. Bleh! :( A couple weeks ago a bus driver cut too short of a corner and broke a street lamp wich crashed into a car behind it. HAd it gonne the tother way it would have crashed through my windows. Too many maniacs out there fortunatly no one was hurt. Me wants cars with independed atomatic driving. Not so much fun for people but much safer. So before buying your virile Hummer consider buyin one of those sissy enviroment friendly hybrid cars with automatic gears! :D .
Guest IguanaKing Posted February 26, 2007 Posted February 26, 2007 Me wants cars with independed atomatic driving. Not so much fun for people but much safer. So before buying your virile Hummer consider buyin one of those sissy enviroment friendly hybrid cars with automatic gears! :D Even automatic transmissions depend on driver input and demand. The only thing switching from a Hummer to a hybrid will do for anyone is to give him higher low-end torque. So, an idiot will be able to do even more damage...but, I guess he'll burn fewer fossil fuels while killing people. :smilewink:
Pilotasso Posted February 26, 2007 Posted February 26, 2007 Ok lets imagine you are brought before to 2 choices: 1) To be runed over by a low torke shallow and smooth aerodynamic hybrid car or: 2)To be runed over by a rinocerous looking heavy Hummer with a blunt metalized front capable of reaching 100Mph in 5 seconds with 300 horsepower. Choose :D .
graywo1fg Posted February 26, 2007 Posted February 26, 2007 get well Gys :) and Pilotasso my choice is 3 to pull a matrix manouver type thing and do a back flip avoiding them both..... only to fail and break my arm :P Voice of Jester AI Death From Above =DFA= Squadron Discord - https://discord.gg/deathfromabove http://www.twitch.tv/graywo1f https://www.youtube.com/user/Lonewo1fg
Guest IguanaKing Posted February 26, 2007 Posted February 26, 2007 Either one weighs well in excess of my 195 pound frame. So I will be just as dead in either situation. Seriously, its like asking..."If you're going to shoot yourself in the head, which would you prefer, the .22 or the .45". Your brain tissue won't react well to direct contact with either one. Pilotasso, I take it you don't know much about cars. By low-end torque, I meant high torque in the low end, which means...city driving conditions. For low-end torque, there is nothing better than an electric motor. In city driving conditions, hybrid cars are actually more dangerous, kinematically. Heh...100MPH in 5 seconds? That's hilarious!!! Show me a vehicle that size and weight that can do that, to scale, and I'll show you something similar to the Space Shuttle and its boosters. What do you have against the Hummer anyway? Hummers are good. Everyone should get a few of them every year. If you get a few every month...well...you are one lucky guy. :D
