Q: Will interactive training missions be included?

A: Yes, the following free lessons are planned for the Early Access:

 

1- Introduction and Basic Controls

2- Cold Start

3- Airfield Taxi and Takeoff

4- TACAN Navigation

5- Waypoint Navigation

6- VFR Airfield Landing

7- IFR Airfield Landing

8- Air-to-Air Radar Overview

9- Aerial Refueling

11- Case I and II Carrier Landing

12- Air-to-Air Gun

15- AG Gun and Rockets

Why no Case III carrier landing? Its the only way you land at night or during foul weather. Other recomendations, Day VFR Landing pattern be renamed FCLPs, and IFR landing pattern being renamed TACAN and GCA approaches.

It just means it won't be added in Early Access, maybe its added for full release.

Case III requires a huge amount of work on the carrier ATC that will not be available at EA launch.

+1. I think that's more the point. There was zero chance the module would come without training. The question was what would come with EA.

Actually the amount of work and effort that goes into training missions is "YUGE", they were at minor risk for a time there, but I think ED knew it had to be done, they are what my first impressions of the A-10C are based on, and I absolutely loved those...

Nice point there NL! I have not done a lot of digging in the 2.5OB, but how is the ATC performing now?

Having the Hornet will hopefully also be a good reason for a naval ATC/LSO framework to work in and around.

I hope they take this very seriously, for me at least it is one of the hugest turn offs from this game, the lack of ATC contact information is ridiculous imo for a simulator. For instance landing at runways without even talking to the tower and no one could care less.

Most likely; at least the initial ones. I'm sure there will be payware campaigns/missions that will be available for other terrains.

Yes, we cannot expect customers to purchase a module map to use the training.

11- Case I and II Carrier Landing

 

I would like to see this video. I am wondering if the LSO calls can be received or if we can interact with LSO At least we would be able to "call the ball" in the groove?

 

I miss a lot those carrier landings on Janes F/A18 with full interaction with CATCC and LSO.... done 17 years ago!!
