Wolf359 Posted October 30, 2019 Posted October 30, 2019 Qualification Missions I'm still learning the F-18. not rushing anything. When I fly any of the qualification missions, is there any notification of mission ending? I flew the navigation qualification for Caucasus and when I landed, nothing. I used Heading AP, and I didn't shut down the aircraft. Do either of those things affect the mission outcome? In other words, is there some type of reward/award attached to these types of missions? pgazaille Posted January 15, 2020 Posted January 15, 2020 I was hoping for feedback I did a couple of missions few weeks ago and posted them on DCS users repository. https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3307341/ and https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3307481/ Both missions are highly scripted and provide with a continuous playground with defined objectives. I believe that they need improvements, charts, kneeboards etc... ( certainly voices over ) But the missions themselves are my style and i am not sure they would interest most. What i am looking for is feedback on them. Cheers 1 Science is the method by which we learned that in few billions years we won't have need for science. P. Gazaille
Forcavitale Posted February 15, 2020 Posted February 15, 2020 F/A-18C Strike Fighter (Full mission version) https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3303178/ This is a remix of Wags' "Hornet Mission of the Week" - fleshed out to include a carrier start, additional briefing docs, additional ambient radio messages for the ingress, and a few small revisions. The "core" mission remains the same - fight your way into the AO, bomb the target, and get home in one piece. This mission requires the Persian Gulf map (and the F/A-18C). ------------------------- Ingress to target as briefed - push from WP2 at 1745L, maintain formation with your flight lead to the AO. Destroy the SOC at waypoint 4, ref briefing images. Multiple SA-6 SAM sites are situated in the Shiraz area. These will be targeted by the SEAD flight. Short-range air defenses in the target area include 23m AAA and SA-13 SAMs. Return safely to the Stennis - ref briefing images for comms/beacon information. -------------------------- Do let me know of any comments here or via private message - thanks for playing! One of my all time favourite missions. But after updating to 2.5.6 i spawn in F10 view and i cant figure out what is wrong. Anybody got a clue. Thank you in advance.

Forcavitale Posted February 16, 2020 Posted February 16, 2020 COLT11 is set as "Excellent" instead of "Player" I guess im not very used to work with the mission editor, but when i take a look, i got 2 Colt 11, one is set to Player and Player the other one is set to Excellent and 1, dont actually know what to change here, and the wierd thing is that it was working just fine last weekend and after the update its bugged. Still spawning in the F10 view. Cheers Forca

Something has changed in the latest OpenBeta which has messed up catapult starts, it's the same for some of my F-14 missions. At the moment I'm waiting for the hotfix due for release this week and hoping that this helps, then I will have a look and see if this is still broken. Thanks for flagging this.

At the moment I'm waiting for the hotfix due for release this week and hoping that this helps, then I will have a look and see if this is still broken. Thanks for flagging this. Thanks for the excellent mission Kaba, I found out that either fast forwarding the mission for a few minutes or just take the time to wait puts me in the pit. Looking forward to more missions like this  Cheers Forca
Ziptie Posted February 19, 2020 Posted February 19, 2020 Yes, unfortunately the F14 campaign is broken and won't even put me into the aircraft on the carrier. Eagle Dynamics severely compromised even the single player side of their game. Such is the consequence of pushing things to the limit and trying to oblige impatient people constantly asking "will there be an update this week" or "when is the feature going to be completed/added?" I shall be signing off and waiting for positive news and then resuming the DCS experience then. Chopper A-10 Posted September 1, 2020 Posted September 1, 2020 OPERATION SILICON VALLEY August 15, 2020 On a routine flight in international waters, yesterday, two Navy FA-18C’s were fired upon by Iranian SAM’s. This action initiated the start of OPERATION SILICON VALLEY. The mission will launch at 0545 hours tomorrow. Late last month an Iranian weapons science engineer made contact through secret channels that he wanted to defect. He stated he has information that several attacks are being planned on bases in England, Paris, New York and Washington DC. He produced plans for these attacks using swarms of small drones with nose cone explosives. He detailed where these mini-drones were being produced and how they are shipped out of Iran. The documents that were provided and our own satellite Intel confirms location of production warehouses, shipping routes via helicopter and shipments out of Iran using cargo ships from Kish Island. Detail strike force plans were developed by U.S. Naval Forces Central Command, received approval by the Joint Chiefs and the President. The strategic strikes on these targets were to begin next month, code name Silicon Valley. Lots of audio files that direct your aircraft movement . . sirrah Posted September 10, 2020 Posted September 10, 2020 Attack on insurgents training camp - Syria https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3312190/ Operation Inherent Resolve - Juli 28th 2015 You are based at Incirlik AB (Turkey) as part of CJTF-OIR. Intelligence recently discovered an insurgent training camp 25nm south-east of Aleppo city (bullseye). The enemy activities in and around this camp, have been closely monitored for the past couple of days. Proof has been gathered that the bunker (as shown on the satellite pictures) is used for ammo and explosives storage. Your flight package is tasked with the attack on this camp. FORD2 Mission objective: Destroy insurgent ammo bunker at N35-55-03-69 E37-33-00-36 You are free to choose a different loadout, however make sure to follow the preplanned waypoints. Not following the preplanned flight route or not damaging the main target will result in a mission failure. (Tip: don't use all of your ordnance on the camp) Once you return to base, the mission will end when you are parked in front of your HAS (marked on F-10 map) and both engines off. bswift Posted November 7, 2020 Posted November 7, 2020 https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.c...files/3312962/ This mission is in development. But it works as is and I fly it quite a bit because the sunrise is amazing :) What it lacks: success criteria, working B1 bombers. What I love: the tomcat escort in the dark, Sunrise AAR, and after that a bit of everything for you. Main intent: Settle into dcs with a morning startup and 15 min sunrise flight, AAR, then SEAD, then A2G or A2A - or just go practice some super carrier (or Stennis) landings. I built it for a few friends to fly - and for me to learn the ME and the MOOSE framework. It's still pretty fun though, I think! There are some audio messages made by bots (AWS polly) but if anyone wants to do voice overs, that would be great. I need to change the script the bots say, they're lame right now lol As I build this out I'll make it better with the B1's actually releasing from orbit and doing their bombing run, and not just flying home. I'll probably also put in some more dynamic A2A balancing logic to make the mission harder based on how many friends fly it. Read the mission briefing on the download page for help - this mission is a bit of a unique one I think. If you like it, let me know. If you hate it, let me know how I can make it better! :) And if you want to fly it with me, I'm up for it!
life_rocks Posted September 5, 2021 Posted September 5, 2021 Here is a coop mission for 1-3 players (technically 7 max but that's overkill), Caucasus map and F-18. You have HARMs to destroy a SAM site, and then use your Mavericks to destroy enemy tanks. Once that's done, our own tanks will advance and capture the enemy airport. The mission is fairly easy and meant to help practice the HARM and laser-guided weapons, but you can use the radio F10 menu to make it harder (or easier, if you prefer). Feedback welcome!
