Unfortunately for me of a military flying career slipped through the fingers. Got the call to attend flight screening in Tamworth a few years after I left the Army, but butchered my OSB performance. A time when pilots were pilots, instead of pushing computer buttons and let the aircraft fly itself. And that lightly brass-colored nosecone, that brings fond memories back...
