DCS login failed??????

I have just started to get a box that tells me that DCS login has failed.

 

 

the message is

 

 

 

DCS Web site is not available at the moment.

 

Offline mode requires a saved password and a successful login to operate.

 

 

Then I click OK and All my modules are disabled.

 

WTH?

 

 

I have an internet connection (I typed this post on the same PC) and I can see no notice on these forums saying that the servers are down

 

 

 

So what gives? Can I get me help with this please.

This log on problem is present on my second computer.

 

 

Main computer:no login problem.

 

 

After i upgraded the second computer to Windows10

(i forgot to deactivate the modules on second computer)

 

 

I reactivated then was able to log in and run all my modules

after i reactivated the modules.

 

 

But yesterday got this message after the log in attempt:

find the section "miscellaneous"] =

 

then the value:

 

["autologin"] = true,

change true to false

 

save options.lua file and run DCS

 

you can delete options.lua file and it will creates again but with all options by default

I had this "Login failed" too after moving DCS folder to another drive so I was almost sure it was my fault. Forums were silent about servers down, I had internet connection running fine, so I had no idea. Also no FAQ mantioned this problem.

 

My solution was to simply run DCS and uncheck the "autologin" option in DCS. No need to edit the files since you are allowed to run DCS and get to the menu without hassle. You can probably use the "log out" button too in the DCS main menu > on top > far right, and then "log in" again.

 

 

btw: Windows 7 - no updates were recently installed before the problem occured.

My mainboard was broken and after I replaced it, I had the same problem. Disabling autologin works for me, too.

I had the same issue today. What was odd was in notepad it already read ["autologin"] = false. When I used WordPad it displayed vertically rather than horizontally and read ["autologin"] = True. Changed it to false and bingo! Back up and running. Thanks guys for posting this.

Rename temporarily your DCS folder in \Saved Games. It'll start with clean default options without login information. If you log in without problem you can then copy back what you want from the renamed folder into new one, ie. missions, \config\input (bindings)...

Edit - the fix did not work.  I still get the message.  Laptop logs in fine and friends are playing at the moment. --- I just encountered this bug with the above fix working on DCS 2.9.5.55918.  DCS.log attached.

hello. you should start a new thread or create a support ticket. this thread is 5 years old. but quick look at your log.
