hannibal Posted December 27, 2018 Posted December 27, 2018 alot of us were dissappointed with belsimtek development of huey multicrew after years of release. we were excited that gazelle multiseat multicrew was somewhat functional. we were super excited when the minigun variant was featuring a partially functioning doorgunner. a bunch of us bought two copies of gazelle to fly with friends. now the recent update by polychop was a blow to multiseat development. i hope they will continue to have multiseat multicrew functional and not cancel it. i have hope... happy new years, i didnt want to rant, but i had to share this thought! find me on steam! username: Hannibal_A101A http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561197969447179
swatstar98 Posted December 27, 2018 Posted December 27, 2018 They said, they will wait and see what happens before doing anything! So I think they will not cancel. Chinook lover - Rober -
hannibal Posted December 27, 2018 Author Posted December 27, 2018 i heard it was about waiting how dedicated server tech matures and how F14 multiseat plays out. but i thought i heard cancel multiseat as well.. so i wasnt sure. find me on steam! username: Hannibal_A101A http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561197969447179
trois-pas Posted December 27, 2018 Posted December 27, 2018 Extract from a recent post on facebook We also have taken a look into the multicrew issues, but we came to the conclusion that we will wait for the F14 release in DCS, cause we hope that the recent dedicated server tests of ED will help to improve the network code and occuring desynch issues that our multicrew suffers of will be undergoing a final fix then. they do not cancel multicrew for the gazelle, they are waiting for the situation to settle a bit around the desync issue. Only they will they be able to apply an efficient fix. Later in the post, they state that their FUTURE product will not be released with multicrew. So to sum up, multicrew Gazelle is still a real things, only pending for external element.
Bigskill Posted December 27, 2018 Posted December 27, 2018 Just consult Heatblur, if they can do a proper Multycrew, you can do it too, specially because you already got hour money, and Gazelle even with a broken FM is still sold for 40 bucks..... SHould be one of your priority to fix it. thx

Varis Posted December 28, 2018 Posted December 28, 2018 Later in the post, they state that their FUTURE product will not be released with multicrew. Was a bit more perplexed with this statement. Waiting makes development sense and also they may need to make decisions - I just hope they haven't tied their hands too much. What we've seen of Gazelle multicrew (L model etc) has been quite nice. Let's hope that ED + HB can figure things out so it will all be brighter by Christmas 2019. SA-342 Ka-50 Mi-8 AJS-37 F-18 M2000C AV-8B-N/A Mig-15bis CA --- How to learn DCS

I thought Desync applied to buttons or switches used by both multiseat users... ok, no problem, i got that it gets complicated if one decides to turn on radio and the other turns off radio.. BUT WHAT ABOUT THE DOOR GUN. i mean the door gunner would have complete independent functions separate from the pilot. i just wish the door gunner slot would be more fleshed out and WORKING for VR... find me on steam! username: Hannibal_A101A http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561197969447179
Mr_sukebe Posted December 29, 2018 Posted December 29, 2018 The title of this thread is highly misleading, as it infers that multi-crew has been deliberately and permanently pulled from the module. That does appear to NOT be the case. 7800x3d, 5080, 64GB, PCIE5 SSD - Oculus Pro - Moza (AB9), Virpil (Alpha, CM3, CM1 and CM2), WW (TOP and CP), TM (MFDs, Pendular Rudder), Tek Creations (F18 panel), Total Controls (Apache MFD), Jetseat

Well Multi crew is ED's code, So all 3rd parties run off that code for multi crew includes F-14, C-101CC, Zelle and that doomed hawk all run off ED's Code.
Merlin_VFA34 Posted January 3, 2019 Posted January 3, 2019 Hi, what was the last working multicrew version and is it possible to install that one? I would like to try it out with a friend. Greetings Merlin
FragBum Posted January 3, 2019 Posted January 3, 2019 (edited) You should be able to take a person for a flight, AFAIK there is only restrictions on what the other person can do, like not take the cyclic,.. Besides no one seems to want to get in with me when I'm flying. :D As I understand it, multicrew is still broken in DCS ATM so they are holding off a decision on multicrew until DCS gets that sorted. Edited January 3, 2019 by FragBum <typo> Control is an illusion which usually shatters at the least expected moment. Gazelle Mini-gun version is endorphins with rotors. See above. Currently rolling with a Asus Z390 Prime, 9600K, 32GB RAM, SSD, 2080Ti and Windows 10Pro, Rift CV1. bu0836x and Scratch Built Pedals, Collective and Cyclic.

Hi, I have allready tested the current Version and there are a things not working Like... - Rotor was not turning for the gunner/commander when hot on the ramp. I have not tested if the rotor starts turning if you start cold. - Unable to turn the sight left and right. Up and Down is possible. And not beeing able to fire a missile is a bit boring for the gunner... Greetings Merlin

Besides I didn't say it was perfect we just have to wait and see what DCS does with multicrew. And then,.. Ramsay Posted January 3, 2019 Posted January 3, 2019 (edited) what was the last working multicrew version AFAIK it'd be one of the 1.5.x versions (between 1.5.4 and 1.5.8 ?) - I think multicrew was still working ok around June 2017. Main issues were control and instrument sync between players i.e. RWR, HSI/ADF, fuel state, etc. and making sure the co-pilot joined after the pilot. There could be drift between player (pilot) and co-pilot camera view but it was great fun with, one player holding and maintaining hover, while the other guided a HOT missile to impact. What stopped me playing multicrew eventually was AI script desync bugs. We'd grown out of static targets and needed a more dynamic battlefield but it became frustrating to build missions for coop play, test it in SP, only to have it fail in MP i.e. we'd fly out to a AO and I'd spot targets (as the host) and the other player/client couldn't see anything (as their AI OPFOR had never moved from spawn - problem seems fixed in latest 2.5.x) Note: IMHO 1.5 has a weaker Gazelle flight model than 2.5 but multicrew gameplay is what made the Gazelle special. ... and is it possible to install that one? I would like to try it out with a friend. You can use DCS updater from the command line https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=114030 or SkateZilla's GUI Updater Utility https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=160053 to install a separate/older version of DCS (to use multicrew you'll both need the same version). Buzzles Posted January 4, 2019 Posted January 4, 2019 (edited) Basically, Polychop going to have to wait for ED to finally do the Huey (or Mi8) multicrew and solve the problems. After all, the current multi-crew was done for the L-39, which is actually two cockpits rather than a shared one like the helos. What HB have done for the F-14 is also irrelevant, as again, two cockpits not one. Edited January 4, 2019 by Buzzles Fancy trying Star Citizen? Click here!
3WA Posted January 4, 2019 Posted January 4, 2019 Yep. I would say this is all on ED. Hopefully, they figure out multi-cockpit soon. But I think all their resources are on F-18 right now.
Baaz Posted January 5, 2019 Posted January 5, 2019 Am I sad? Nope. Switching back and forth between seats means there's always something for me to do. :)
-Condor- Posted November 18, 2021 Posted November 18, 2021 Luck ED have free trials. I trialled the Gazelle and wouldn't buy the rubbish. To many broken things to consider purchasing. ED should remove it. 2 1
RealDCSpilot Posted November 18, 2021 Posted November 18, 2021 Sounds hard, but on the other hand - they had more than 5 years and did nothing to fix it. 1 i9 13900K @5.5GHz, Z790 Gigabyte Aorus Master, RTX4090 Waterforce, 64 GB DDR5 @5600, PSVR2, Pico 4 Ultra, HOTAS & Rudder: all Virpil with Rhino FFB base made by VPforce, DCS: all modules
hannibal Posted February 6, 2022 Author Posted February 6, 2022 with the new coder i hope polychop can revisit the gazelle's minigun feature... hoping that the minigun will be on par as the huey UH1H module.. particularly the ability to map the minigun up/down, left/right slew to a joystick.. and decouple the player view from the minigun line of sight, especially in VR... come on guys.. plz.. i like to put my two copies of gazelle to work! thanks for listening.. find me on steam! username: Hannibal_A101A http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561197969447179
kotor633 Posted February 7, 2022 Posted February 7, 2022 Hi, No, I don't mind at all. What annoys me, on the other hand, is that we are still waiting for the revised Gazelle FM... Because we are still waiting for the Kiowa... And as long as this module is not released, we will probably wait for a little eternity... 5 ************************************** DCS World needs the Panavia Tornado!
