WINWING F/A-18C HOTAS 2019.5.29 RELEASE

The CNC video is a great example of the fine production quality of the components.

I am now understanding the reason for base price of these components.

However, considering the weight and when you add the cost of shipping and equipment price, it more than likely will be well beyond what I can afford.

I really hope that in time they can develop a North American and European warehousing and delivery facility.

Right now, ordering an item from another Chinese HOTAS manufacturer, that hardly weights a few ounces, the cost for shipping almost doubles the price to Canada.

Keeping fingers crossed for solutions.

Nice Work!

This is really a handcrafted masterpiece of work, I am proud to put an order on July 11th soon after the pre-order was opened before even having seen those pics and photos.

It' makes you wonder if a real F18 throttle is built as nicely?

Here it's about the full set of Winwing and yes, indeed, when I see other throttle manufacturers in general with they offer as quality and price which I do not want to mention their names comparing with what Winwing offers, of course, it's fair for me to qualify the Winwing full set a masterpiece

Also, I recall there was another F18 throttle builder who ‘s price was something around €950 builder which disappeared a few months ago

Great looking product!

Can you give us an indication on when we might expect more news about the F-16 throttle handle and if and how it will be interchangeable with the F-18 handle.

How far is the development process?

Cheers,

Sneakpeek

Just ordered mine! Super Excited!

As others have noted though, I think it is a weird choice of real estate on that panel attachment to have the ground power switches on there, especially when it already deviates in other ways from the actual panel (moving pivot heat switches for example). I've never even touched them in the sim and have no idea what they do. Would be sweet to have a physical landing gear handle, or jettison button, or EW rotary.

Wow! Mama! This is some serious HOTAS ! I thought Thrustmaster Warthog and that Russian company whose name escapes me, had serious HOTAS. Looks like it could work for A-10C, F/A-18, and serves as cycling/collective. For now I think I'll stick with X56. Not becpuse it is great, it is not! Or easy to program (not really). Or even good, which I do not think it is. I'll stick with X56 becouse my hand muscle memory has aclimated itself to X56 and its quirks.

Try using 4 sticks and two throttles of you really want confusion! It definitely keeps you on your toes ????. The WinWing will add even more confusion yet

aight... I have unclean thoughts about that throttle but really do not need another stick. Have they released any technical info on the throttle besides the 20cm travel/hall sensor and swapable grips thing?

Specifically -- Winwing Guy -- lots of us are going to probably but the preorder just for the throttle, please provide some detail. What sensor is used for slew? Radar altitude? I am curious about the texture as well given they are metal. But most importantly is that slew, and whether its user upgradeable, etc.

WINWING F/A-18C HOTAS 2019.5.29 RELEASE

I asked about the slew on Facebook and they said PS4 style, similar to the TWCS (which was good).

The other axes (including radar elevation) are hall sensors.

In a surprise to me they say the friction lever is also a hall sensor axis (I would’ve thought it just did friction).

Perhaps its a sensor so that it can measure/report position to allow the in-game lever position to be updated? Completely guessing, seems unnecessary to me as well....

Thanks for the info, I’m sure their pcb will be properly designed and not l2c like the warthog. Deltasim did a great job working with the tools provided, but if you look at the output smoothness (and update frequency) of a VKB analogue on a MCG Pro, for instance, vs a modded warthog, it’s quite striking. You can see the steps on the WH output, it’s like really bad aliasing of a diagonal line.

Even then though I wonder if they recognize how much demand their is on the throttle. If we could drop a $500 FS slew in there they’d literally sell dozens! Perhaps hundreds!
