What I would like to see implemented.

 

I would like to see:

 

1: A good fixed chase view.

2: Axis controls for all Trims and Wheel Brakes available. (preferably separate left and right wheel brakes.)

3: The ability for one button press to do two or more actions in controls button/keypress options. (i.e. center view and zoom to normal with one button press.) ( I know i can do this with joystick programming software -macros- but I would like to see this available in control options and I know that this is more of a DCS World request, but I thought I would put it here anyways.)

I'd like to see a mission briefing with a 3d room and an officer telling you what your mission is, you can review your flight assignments with your wingmen and talk to loadout guy about loadout if thats how they do it in the military I don't know maybe someone could clarify that for me. As well as in flight reactions to orders and dialogue a bit like a Freespace 2 mission or 1 for that matter. This would work well with flaming cliffs as its a very scripted game. The only problem would be how radical a change would this be and would it be suited to another game altogether a new one for instance but that's as may be. If you've every played Wings of Glory you know what kind of game this would be. It is immersion that's the key factor here. Sure you could just have a text briefing but where's the sport in that as monty python says in the mosquito hunting sketch! and you should as someone said previously on this thread be able to walk around the airbase aka Take on Helicopters and climb into the plane - that would be my ideal sim, with the advanced flgiht models missile bevahiour which is new etc. of course. But these are mre than just bells and whistles they are essential in my opinion for a sim which hasn't got that missing experience feel.

 

One final thing. Simulators have ignored these aspects for too long when was the last sim you played that had this and a great storyline

We all slap around about realism but whats realistic as well is characters and virtual pilots who talk to you not just flight models in fact without characters it's more or less an empty shell imagine bridge commander or star trek the series for that matter with probes with no one on board.

 

Don't mean to be harsh but that's my opinion and I have always stuck by it.

My Wishes for the F-15C

 

HUD colors- not just brightness adjustments, I want black, red, blue, white, green and orange.

 

Some training missions - takeoff and land, after flying to a few waypoints.

takeoff, find a stupid enemy fighter and shoot down with different weapons, come back and land.

 

Clickable cockpit instrumentation, that was a cool feature in FF5

Vertical Scan

 

Please switch the vertical scan mode in the russian birds back to automatic! Its much more conveniant this way and according to the data read the real bird at least got the option. Even the name of the mode says how to best use it: "AUTO acquisition mode"

Id like to see a fuel air bomb ..... and cluster minelets .

 

(1) SU22

 

(2) Runway damage modeled , so if you manage to get in and bomb their runway , there should be some kind of time penalty served to simulate runway closure ..... perhaps 15 minutes ..... but allow this option to be selectable in multiplayer .

 

(3) SAR missions

 

(4) East/West European world map so simulate a new cold war .

 

(5) ECM capability (Prowler) to escort strike flights

 

(6) Recce aircraft . Any (DCSW) aircraft with the real world ability to recce stuff ..... for Mig21 could carry a recce pod so could have some limited recce use .

 

(7) AH1F ..... Cobra .

 

(8) Mi24 Hind .

 

(9) F105D Thunderchief .

 

(10) A7 Corsair .

 

(11) Proper working ATC with the ability to radio in damage , and get priority damage and runway clear reports .... with the ability to know if your telling a fib or not .

 

(12) That everyone has a healthy and happy 2014 .

I would like a more realistic nozzle moving. Fully opened at idle - it is ok, fully closed in max dry power, maximal regime, or max RPM (called as you want) is also ok, but on max afterburner, the nozzles are opened full again, however, the pressure in the hydraulic actuators are working continously against the pressure inside the nozzle.

 

A normal diamater at max AB is app. around 90% of the idle position, which is the 100.

- Be able to set up different outputs (instruments, HUD, MFD, map, external views...) for each screen in a single / multi-screen configuration. Example 1: 3 screens: 1 for instruments, 1 HUD, 1 MFD; Example 2: 1 screen split HUD in top tier, then 3 boxes with MFD, map and instruments. The current 3 screen configuration not flexible enough to manage different outputs

- No need to manually change config files

- Manage different resolutions for each screen

- Include touch screens (this may actually be owned by hardware driver itself, not the DCS software)

- Be able to cap frame rates in specific screens to save GPU power

- Be compatible with Oculus Rift

- Be compatible with 3D projectors (3D image)

How about a new theater? Like Desert Storm? Just like Fa-18 Hornet game back in the day made by Graphic Simulation Corp/Graphsim back in the late 90's. Enough of the greenery, I want the desert theater. No more Russians, I want to shoot down middle eastern pilots in their Mig 23's. New theater either Desert Storm or Operation Iraqi freedom style, replicate missions, DCS already has most of the jets modeled. I saw somewhere the Beta for A-10C had Nellis AFB created....where did that go?! Implement it!!!! Russia/Georgia is getting a bit boring now!

THere should be a way to hit a few buttons that turns on a keyboard overlay IN the cockpit so you can assign the controls from within the cockpit to your controls in RL.

It would be more intuitive that way.
