Eddie Posted August 24, 2012 Posted August 24, 2012 Shouldn't he know you got CCIP invalid if your FPM's above the horizon, happens to me anyway. It had nothing to do with where the FPM was, nor does it ever. He had a CCIP invalid because he was using a HARS profile and hadn't switched to HOT elevation. Both things that aren't done very often in the A-10C (why would they be when CCIP etc is available) so it's not surprising that pilots forget such things from time to time. Remember, the average A-10C (or any other combat aircraft) pilot will forget more than even the most skilled and experienced simmer amongst us will ever know. Don't underestimate how much these guys have to learn to do what they do.
Kuky Posted August 25, 2012 Posted August 25, 2012 Did this result in a crash?? Surely there's some codes being broken there?? Its not FOD, theres always trash around the cockpit that goes up the canopy in negative G's. it might have been the pilot himself putting it there, its almost impossible to keep it 100% clean. .

This guys was terrible for it FOD. Damn groundcrew. Yeah right, they loose it we find it. I hated when they came back;"Yeah, by the way chief I drop my pencil before the flight, but I flew anyway" Then I spend 4 to 5 hours upside down looking for crap Is that a JHMCS helmet? If is not meant to be there and if is not secured it is F.O.D. Anything that potentially impairs an aircraft’s ability to fly is Foreign Object Damage. Tools, nuts or bolts, caps, paper, aircraft parts (they do fall off), vehicles, people, construction material, packaging, plastic bags, dogs, cats, birds, pencils, phones, books, rocks, pavement pieces, aluminum cans and, of course, golf balls…the list is as long as your flight line. http://www.fodcontrol.com/foreign-object-damage.html Edited August 25, 2012 by mvsgas To whom it may concern, I am an idiot, unfortunately for the world, I have a internet connection and a fondness for beer....apologies for that. rextar Posted August 25, 2012 Posted August 25, 2012 The point is NO objects are to be taken into the cockpit that may affect the aircraft. mvsgas Posted August 25, 2012 Posted August 25, 2012 Well it could end up stuck in his butt with 9gs of acceleration behind it. :D, 9g would be away from his butt, so butt would be safe The point is NO objects are to be taken into the cockpit that may affect the aircraft. If a coin got lodged into the flight controls well there is my point. Got it man, I was saying that it happens a lot. The biggest danger in the F-16 is FOD getting into the seat, preventing ejection or affecting proper ejection. No control column for FOD to interfere with. Maybe the pedals but never heard of that happening. To whom it may concern, I am an idiot, unfortunately for the world, I have a internet connection and a fondness for beer....apologies for that. Rotorhead Posted August 26, 2012 Posted August 26, 2012 (edited) Ok, here are few images from an airshow taking place this weekend at Líně airport, Czech Republic (LKLN). However, the main attraction of the event, a Mustang, did not arrive due to bad weather (at its home airport???). And I wanted to see this plane so badly . But still, there were lots of other famous and unique planes. Like these ones: Hope you liked it! I'll post some more shots from this event... sometimes. :D Edited August 26, 2012 by Rotorhead

joey45 Posted August 26, 2012 Posted August 26, 2012 Cool shots dude. The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance.
