sorcer3r Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 (edited) Anyone knows how do they aim? Something helmet mounted or the gums on the wind shield? (or nothing because the target was just the island? :D ) Edited May 9, 2014 by sorcer3r [sIGPIC]http://i1293.photobucket.com/albums/b582/sorcerer17/sorcf16-b_zpsycmnwuay.gif[/sIGPIC]

Bucic Posted May 12, 2014 Posted May 12, 2014 (edited) Spitfire and Merlin engine.... Wow! The best Spitfire display I've ever seen. Or the best warbird display for that matter. Finally someone demonstrated capabilities of a Fighter instead of going for those low-maneuver, cheap, high-speed airliner passes. The pilot also showed the rudder is not only for looks. Just look at this moment (few seconds onwards)! #t=206 Edited May 12, 2014 by Bucic F-5E simpit cockpit dimensions and flight controls Kill the Bloom - shader glow mod Poor audio Doppler effect in DCS [bug] Trees - huge performance hit especially up close

NRG-Vampire Posted May 14, 2014 Posted May 14, 2014 (edited) interesting: seems that missile radome is an amraam - on the inner side of the wing pylon never seen aim-120 on gr4 tonka :shocking::surprise: - or is that an empty rail on that wing pylon? im unsure :dunno: http://www.airliners.net/photo/UK---Air/Panavia-Tornado-GR4/1646642/L/&sid=94d09e0e0a5b3f13b045791995495d25 Edited May 14, 2014 by NRG-Vampire
Kusch Posted May 14, 2014 Posted May 14, 2014 This is Alarm ;) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ALARM Give me "flying telephone pole" (SA-2)!
NRG-Vampire Posted May 14, 2014 Posted May 14, 2014 (edited) This is Alarm ;) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ALARM yep, under the wing pylon and under the fuselage there are alarms but on the inner side/next to the wing pylon ? ? ? - we can see only the nose of the missile (or an empty side rail on that wing pylon?) Pilotasso Posted May 14, 2014 Posted May 14, 2014 The rack possibly is common to many missile types, doenst mean it can actually fire the slammer, at least I never read/heard of it. .
Milli Posted May 14, 2014 Posted May 14, 2014 Its an ASRAAM, for a bit of self-protection. Regards, Milli

Regards, Milli sorry guys for my blindness but that was a tricky pic (to me) and i was confused from that angle the side rail of the wing pilon looked like a white radome/nose just like the nose of an amraam but that's only a rail without sidewinder or asraam, i just realized now when i found this image first one is almost the same: rail looks like got a white radome/nose but thats only a rail but now with an asraam on it and on the second it's clearly visible that rail without any white sorry it wasnt a quiz but was my fault/blindness  so there is no amraam on the very first pic http://www.airliners.net/photo/UK---Air/Panavia-Tornado-GR4/2429959/L/&sid=8d04fab1e78cc8ea15a09830ae90c9c0 http://www.airliners.net/photo/UK---Air/Panavia-Tornado-GR4/2434563/L/&sid=8d04fab1e78cc8ea15a09830ae90c9c0
Milli Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 I stand corrected. It is not an ASRAAM  Regards, Milli
