They were working on the playable super hornet in about 2012 and disappeared. They most likely have a ton of info you could use. Coretex Officially Dissolved a while ago, but a few of their team members were continuing to develop a mod w/ the tools they have. They haven't had access to the SDK in a while so most of the new stuff they do not have access to the SDK to develop. As for the Art side of things, they licensed the same 3D Model I did, and last media they published still showed the same incorrect parts and inaccuracies I corrected long ago. Information is not a problem, I live in the Short Final pattern of Runway 5R, as well as have access to the aircraft directly to take photo's etc etc. The decision to NOT make it player flyable has nothing to do w/: Available Information, Legal, or Eagle Dynamics. Could I Decide to make the private cockpit and stuff public in the future, yes. But that will be a discussion for another time. At the present time, project is on the back burner due to area being on lockdown and not having access to base to take reference information. I'm in the middle of upgrading software suites to 2020, Rebuilding some parts of the aircraft model. I posted this a while ago on my FB Page, and it got negative comments, so i didnt post it here, but I will now: (March 22nd, 2020). My Statement Regarding VAQ-130 E/A-18G Mod (Now named Community Super Bug Mod for DCS): Good Day Everyone, I hope everyone is being safe in these uncertain times. Recently VAQ-130 have gone public with their E/A-18G Growler Mod. I am making a statement to clear up some things now. I am in no way involved with this project, the 3D Model being used was licensed from the same source material, that is the only link between VAQ-130's Mod and the Project I am working on. While we are on that subject, the 3d model, even though in it's original licensed format is identical, I myself have re-built or revamped almost the entire model section by section. While Visually appealing to the Masses, the original source model does have several inaccuracies and flaws Geometry and Textures wise, many of which go un-noticed or uncorrected by teams that licensed this particular 3D Model, this includes the former Coretex Designs as well. The delay with my project is the amount of work being put into not only the Geometry rebuilding, but the addition of damage model and components not modeled at all on the original, not to mention the complete replacement of textures from the original 2K to new 4K Photo realistic PBR Textures. I'm not trying to take anything away from VAQ-130's work, the Mod is just that: a Mod, 3D Model Likely Hot-linked to either the DCS:F/A-18C Cockpit and Systems or the FC3/F-15C Cockpit and Systems, and Maybe a few systems attached on top of those for effect. That being said, I hope they are able to release a good mod for the community to enjoy. And Stay Tuned for more information and updates about my Super Hornet Project in the future. And Response to users claiming it was a bad form to post something negative. It was not a negative statement, it was a statement of clarification. -I'm not involved with the project. -And while the 3d Model IS visually stunning to the general audience, there are several things that are inaccurate, from the entire nose gear suspension and hold back bar assembly, to the shape of the rear Block II Heat Exchangers, to the location of some panels on the texture maps. -There is also the fact that it IS just a Mod, with some custom animation systems put on top of another aircraft's systems. They dont have SDK access, they did not show any damage model or cockpit footage. Growlers are late Block II Lots most of the data is still very classified, and NGJ Pods just now cleared testing.
