again, give a different season a shot with the mod installed. if it still does this, then it should be relatively easy to fix..even easier if it works.

Gave it a try in the winter with the same result. I do not have the snowless winter mod installed.

Then I would check the following to see if they are in the folders:

Bazar/Textures/buildings_*aut, *spr, *sum, and *win to see if HAS_Shelter and HAS_Shelter2.dds is installed. If they are, remove them and see if it makes a difference. If they arent, then thats your problem. If it doesnt change, then you have the mod installed incorrectly.

Okay, they were in there. Removed them and still had the same result so I have something installed incorrectly. I am using OvGME to install the mod, both folders set to install into the DCS root directory. Not sure what else I need to do for install?

EDIT: Did a full uninstall using OvGME and deleted all files from my computer, redownloaded using the link in the OP and reinstalled using OvGME and it works. Not sure what the issue was but that fixed it.

Thanks for your help!

Hello! If someone is using this mod now, confirm that it works on version 2.9.6. I installed it according to the instructions, but it never worked for me..

I just Re-Installed the Caucasus Redone Mod after the DCS 2.9.6 big update and Batumi has never looked better.  👍

Oh well, i just realized the forum ate my text again and only posted the images.

So i just reinstalled the mod after i was away for a while and it worked fine for me. Definitely still works. In the images above is Nalchik with modded winter textures and second is modded snowless winter texture which i prefer.

Do you use a mod manager like OvGME? I just copy it manually and it worked for me, maybe there is a mistake in using the mod manager?
It also seems to be important to have textures set to high in the options. Maybe double check this too @SJAY_ONE

It is very strange that nothing works out for me, since I completely repeat the steps indicated in the manual. Could you describe your way of installing this mod?

Yes, I did the same thing. The texture settings are high.. But nothing has changed.. Which version of the simulator are you using? Beta or release version?

Does it matter?

Although maybe the textures work, it just doesn't look the same for me as in the author's screenshots🙂

So if you want to uninstall the textures, you have to run a repair (should have an icon in your start menu for that). Also after every update, the files will be overwritten and you got to do this install step again.

After all these years, you're still not using a mod manager? That's bold!

😃 still works best for me. Got a 'working directory' that resembles the structure where i do all my modifications and just drag it over after each DCS update. And if i needed a reset, the repair tool would do it in a few minutes. Mod managers are great when you change mods back and forth (IC breaking) or try new stuff often. I just slap my rather short list of trusty mods and custom files over after each update and i'm good to go. Actually faster than using a manager.

Hmmm, I prefer use OvGME in wich I create profil, one clic to disable/enable all mods I use for update but everyone make as he wants 😉

No, mod managers are great in any case: when dcs gets an update, when one of the used mods gets an update, when you are facing an issue and you have to find out which mod is causing it (or to exclude that one of the mods is causing it). Otherwise In all these cases you would have to do a cleanup and a slow repair including additional files (because you never exactly know where all the mod files go and it's highly recommended to get back a completely clean dcs installation). That would be too much effort for me, but this is my personal opinion. I use Open Mod Manager by the way, it's better than OvGME.

This may help.

After the latest patch, using the Ovgme, the textures did not appear and for that matter, the other mods I had enabled did not work either.

So I disabled the mods, started the simulator, exited, re-enabled the mods, re-started the simulator and it now works.

I believe so.

I’ve been running that mod with Ovgme. No issues.
