I am more and more convinced, although not a specialist on the subject, that for owners of AMD GPUs, the latest patch does not solve the A400 M texture problem.

Hi Shogoun,

I don't think that this is a AMD GPU only type of problem. I have an RX 7900XTX, but my friend have RTX4090 and he's having the same textures problems as I do with A-400M. So from what I know so far, it's a problem for both AMD and Nvidia. But if you want, I can share those A-400M textures I currently have and are working for me. I've tried numerous fixes that others shared in this topic to a point, where I got lost and forgot which one is working for me right now.😟 But It just works so...

Since cdpcobra has also added new functions in his patch, the zip from the texture folder is overwritten by the one I provided in the above post. In the zip provided by cdpcobra, the MAM_A400M_B.dds is still defective. Drag this texture into the "Military Aircraft Mod.zip" in the textures folder and confirm the overwrite.

That's the solution! Ok I added the MAM_A400M_B.dds to each livery folder and added a line in each description lua file to make them work.

Hi Guys, would someone be able to explain how to make the liveries work with the new MAM_A400M_B.dds file. I've replaced the file in the textures folder as mentioned above but I still cant get it to work. 

grim_reaper68 mentioned adding a line in the description.lua but i'm unsure what to add.  

 

Never mind, I see what I did wrong :/

You have to paste the DDS file in each livery folder. I tried with true, but had the same problem on the A400. I don't know why, but with the same DDS file in the ZIP texture file, it won't work correctly.

the MAM_A400M_B.dds that I am offering can only be inserted into the Military Aircraft Mod.zip in the textures folder. This must be replaced in the zip. As long as this is not done, the faulty texture will always be loaded. There is another possibility. In the liveries, create an additional folder called "texture" in the "A400M_Atlas" folder. Copy the MAM_A400M_B.dds into this folder. Each description of the individual livery must then have the following additional entry: {"MAM_A400M", NORMAL_MAP , "../texture/mam_a400m_b", false};

Hey guys. So i came across an older CSAR ME video which let me know about the pilot included in this mod. For some reason i cant get him to embark. It works work core charactors, just not the usaf pilot. Is it not possible to do that with him or us there possibly a fix? Thanks

Hi

Open the MAMPilot.lua with notepad or ++ & edit / add this line highlighted red. Including the  comma after 100.

But no animations correct? He just slides to da choppah?

Yeah, just the Michael Jackson sideways shuffle.

Use this pilot mod by Suntsag, if you want animation. Has some nice liveries as well.

Infantry Unit - Animated Pilot Mod

Just add the above text to make transportable & increase life :     Life =  1.5 (Make higher that 1.0 to be mobile), If they aren't already.

Regarding to the KC-10 Extender which I love: Is it planned to make an update with a working basket? As I understand, it's not possible to have a tanker aircraft do both. But I'm pretty sure many naval ops fans would love to usa a KC-10 in their missions, even a different version without a working boom. Would that be possible?

Is it possible to get the C-5 to land and on/off load cargo at Incirlik and Akrotiri?  Right now it goes to a point and disappears.   It can land at Nellis and on the Persian Gulf maps but not the Syria or Egypt maps.  I wonder why that is.

Would definitely be nice to have.  They used to land at Incirlik all the time when I was stationed there in the 90s.

The Civil Aircraft Mod has a detailed DC-10. The USAF used the DC-10 as a Tanker and a Transport Aircraft. I had a friend who made me an RAF and two custom USAF liveries. They look amazing. If you are interested, I'm willing to share my custom liveries with you.

That would be great  - it won't work as a tanker, of course, but good liveries and nice statics really add a lot to missions. 🙂

In looking into the 3d models of CAM's DC-10 and MAM's KC-10 in DCSW / ModelViwer + their dds texture files,
those two models look having the same origin.
Two models have same UV mappings.

CAM's DC-10 model might be born from getting rid of the flying-boom of KC-10 model.
No difference about their qualities.

Modules: A-10C/II, F-4E, F-5E(Re), F-14A/B, F-15E, F-16C, F/A-18C, AV-8B, FC3, Ka-50-2/3, UH-1H, Mi-8MTV2, SA342, Mi-24P, AH-64D, CH-47F, P-51D
Maps: Nevada, PG, Syria, SA, Sinai, Kola, Afghanistan, Iraq, CW Germany, Channel, Normandy2.0      Assets etc.: CA, Sc, WW2AP
Mods and Skins in User Files: files/filter/user-is-western0221/
