I'm not sure what you mean by 'cleaned up' - the insignia are quite dull compared to the other writing/numbers etc on the airframes/wings, that's how they are in real life on most images I found. Send me an image of what it is you are after and I'll try to meet your request.

Okay, I see what you mean now. Sadly its quite hard to get that quality of detail on that model, the texture file size dictates how good or bad the decal image will be. In the C5 case its a 4096 x 4096 file covering the whole aircraft so detail is lost when you squeeze that big an airframe onto that small a texture file.

 

In the newer game models you have the same file sizes (or bigger) but each one covers just one bit of the aircraft, many texture file making up the whole aircraft, and a high standard of detail follows. In this case once I had shrunk the badge or letters to fit the 4096 size the detail suffered. My old software struggles with 4096 as it is, anything bigger and it wont run.

 

I will have another look at it but I don't think I can make that any better, sorry.

I tried the new lua file for the Greyhound but its still spinning on the deck instead of taxiing to the catapult on the Stennis. Does anyone else have that problem still?

Is it possible ED could add this to the base sim. The greyhound is far better than a lot of the standard models and with the upcoming carrier module it'll fit right in.

I have a problem report.

In multiplayer with mods installed on server and client, static aircraft are sinking to the ground.

 

There is no problem in single play.

Tested with DCS World 2.5 Open Beta Dedicated Server , Military Aircraft Mod 1.1.

Actually, its still there but just if you take take off from ramp. If you take take off from parking hotel it works fine.

Ramp start works OK for me, tested yesterday with the 1.1 fix.

 

EDIT: No it doesn't, apologies. Tested again today. It works OK with the 0.00 value though.

I made a mistake before, sorry. I was sure I had tested it with a ramp start, but it was parking hot, apparently. I edited my previous post.

The 0.00 value did it for me though. Ramp start for sure this time.

@savamiso: A-4 or MB-339A/PAN installed? try the last version from ther mods.

 

I removed A-4 MOD from server and client.

And I tested again, but there is still a problem.

There is a blank grey/white skin in the pack that could be used for Iran, just add the decals. Unfortunately I cant paint a modern camo scheme for Iran, the model uses strips of texture for the undercarriage doors from the upper airframe and whatever colour that bit is will be the same for the doors, so it looks stupid. Thats why I have kept to single colours for that model.

 

Iran uses both skin variations, so you can have one, but not the other. I'll make the grey/white and get it added to the next update.

Chile’s navy operated 4 Orions, starting on 1993. Serials used are 402, 404 and 407. 408 is a vip transport and I’m unsure about its livery. I understand that they are still in service.
