MI-28, because of lack of other whirley birds that would enforce co-operative team play.

I would love to see some scout or transport helicopters so coop missions could be flown online.

You didn't include heavy bombers you racist :D

I'd love to have Su25T, A-10, Tornado, Su-24, Su33, Mig29, Mig 23/27, Mig25, F-18, MiMi24, MiMi28, AH-64, AH-1, Blackhawk, MiMi26, Chinook, B-52, B-1, Tu160, Tu22M, Tu95, C130, Il-76...

IF this sim will cost me 1000€, I am ready to pay..Ach, if I were a businessman or politician then I would have pumped money for the development of such sim :)

A-10 HOG is already announced...but still on my list...coz i wrote it on opening of the DCS forum.

I think Su-25/25T is the same...WIP...has AFM, detailed 3D shape...only needs clickable cockpit by ED.

I hope Su-25/25T will come out with A-10(A? or C?) together.

Atop the midnight tarmac,

a metal beast awaits.

To be flown below the radar,

to bring the enemy his fate.

A-10 A/C - my choice. I heard about problem of making AFM for supersonic aircraft and I understand it (thanks Yo-Yo for explaination long time ago). Don't know if guys have handled that issue but A-10 is for sure easier to make and IIRC it is already finished for USAF trainer. So there is a probability to get it really soon after BS. Ofcourse I would like to put hands on a fighter - whatever that could be - but I can't so Su-25, Mi-28 or A-10 left to choose. I am aircraft fan so as quick I can get AFM with 6DOF cockpit, better I will feel. Second choice - Su-25 but I worry about someone's info that there's still classified data of some Su-25's systems (don't know what can be classified in such a "steam technology" jet...).

I love the F-16 even before he left the Falcon 4.0. So has been my choice. But as subsequent elections would put the F-14 and F-18. Although the F-18 would be more than if it is a polyvalent fighter jet, the F-14 is precious, an icon, and the fact that only air-to-air capabilities has enabled it before the F-18 in the series DCS. Besides the two are on board, something very important.

Sorry for my english.

someone mentioned the JAS 39 Gripen...well, that's not a bad idea. Sweden is ready to defend world peace with it's NBG (Nordic Battle Group) and that means that the JAS 39 Gripen will soon see its first combat mission in Afganistan. Therefor it's not a bad option to add this lovely plane to the game! :)...just my 2 cents

I'd go with F-18 coz I really have a heart for this thing and that I could't atain a copy of the Jane's F-18 hornet.

I have a full boxed copy I would let go for a reasonable price.....

Are they not still having problems with the flight control software for that plane in RL ?

I think it was taken care of in 1997 actually after a couple of updates of the FCS software.

Would like to see more choppers in this poll. AH-1 Cobra, AH-6 Littlebirds, Blackhawks, Tigers, AC330 Super Puma's, anything with rotor's.

The most exciting thing about DCS series in my eye's is that it's starting out as a helicopter study sim, something us rotorfanboys haven't had in a very long time. Wanna fly the F 16? Then play Falcon 4. I say (in my humble opinion) leave the Lock On planes in Lock On. LOMAC isn't an old game, so it doesn't need to be updated into DCS till way later.

Try something new. If the developers are going to add planes with a 'ground attack' element, then why not the Tornado? If popularity and sales is an issue (like all game developing) then why not try the FA 18 super hornet, or the old school F-14D Tomcat and do a heap of carrier missions and J-DAM strikes. Since Janes: F18 there hasn't been a cool carrier sim with any realism.

Also the Apache AH64D model would be more fun to fly in then the A model, but thats just from my readings.

I see the best thing about DCS is that it's trying to be something new. Encourage that.

From what I understood we will get the D model. It would definitely rock to be able to chose if the radar is mounted or not in coop. I hope this is true.

I understand that compared to the beam riding AT rockets of the KA-50 the Longbow system is quite an overkill. Still radar seeker heads of the Hellfire could be limited in the campaign and force the use of laser variants.

Nah, in the FAQ it's listed as the AH-64A. But don't get me wrong here. Apache's rock and it's the most antcipated add-on to DCS for me. The D version just has less buttons, more cockpit screens, and the longbow rader to hide the full ship rather then using the nose mounted radar which would expose 1/2 of the chopper while scouting.

On that note... having the OH58D Kiowa (maybe after the A10A???) doing the recon and calling in the Apache in a multiplayer hunter/killer setting would be sooooo cool.

I agree. I did some little bird scouting for the 2 Longbows in "Battlefield 2: Project Reality Mod" and it was totally awesome. Still Longbow or Black Shark teams should be equal fun.

i think it would be best if they did any multi-role aircraft. enough of this groundpounders vs dogfighters. Do the f16 or f18. perfect balance of a2a and a2g combat. no need for a another chopper when the ka50 is brand new that will keep simmers going for years

I'd be very happy with an F/A-18. Naval operations add another element of ambiance to a simulator, in my opinion. Does anyone remember this oldie but goodie?

There are some things that i am ashamed of not loving them, not even a bit. although i have every reason to love them like lots and lots of ppl..

One example is Led Zeppelin, I just cant stand them. I like rock, but not them. And I don't know why..

Another example is Mig-29.

Its fast, agile, a perfect steel bird of prey..

And i hate it!..

I don't like flying them, don't like the looks of them, i even hate their sound. Virtual or non virtual. The only thing i like about them is the way they explode. Thats all.. isn't it a big joke for me that, its the favorite fast mover here?

But thats just me...

I think I just put the F-18 back even with the mig 29. I prefer US to rusky birds any day. I agree with Yeniceri I like how they blow up hit the ground and so on.

Hy!

I'm new here, my friend told me there is a vote on this forum! My opinion about this list: I think it's a little bit boring! You can fly with F-15 in Jane's games, Lock On! You can fly with F-18 in a lot of F-18 game (Desert Storm, Iraqi Freedom, Super Hornet, Korea Gold), you can fly with F-16 in Falcon games, etc etc! Ok, Tomcat is unfortunately retired, but in wich game can you fly with it? Top Gun: Fire at Will, Fleet Defender, but these games are old school a little bit! There are some arcade games where can you fly, but can you tell me a simulator? Ok you can fly with Tomcat in Wings Over Vietnam, Flight Simulator Series, Lock On, etc, but these are just modifications! I voted for Tomcat, because there are few games where Tomcat is a flyable aircraft! And it was a great plane I think, and I want a simulator where can I fly with! :) But this only my opinion! So, Tomcat fans, please vote! ^.^ Thanks (Sorry for my english)

PLZ DO NOT compare other (previous) SIMs to DCS (LOMAC).

but these games are old school a little bit

Oh, yes...Old School...I know all of...

I started to "fly" in 1982 (when i was 10 years old) on my Sinclair ZX Spectrum with Digital Integration: Tomahawk (AH-64) & Fighter Pilot (F-15) and I got my name (JET) from my friends when I killed hundreds of MiGs and landed crosswise on a carrier (BUG)...on Commodore C64 & Amiga with F-16/F-18 in the SIM called: JET. (Sublogic)

...so this was about my "life"

...but

...Well? Do U know any SIM with these Features: ?

• Highly-detailed six degrees of freedom cockpit

• Unrivalled flight physics system

• Realistic damage model and system cascade affect

• Mouse-clickable cockpit

• Detailed modeling and control of engine, fuel, hydraulics, electrical, navigation, radio, fire suppression, sensor, and weapon systems (casual game play modes also available)

• Advanced weapon physics for missiles, rockets and cannon rounds including ricochets

If yes, then i will make an obeisance front of U and the program what U will mention.

BTW: my vote was the Tomcat also ;)
