One cool feature the ED team added was the use of the radio frequency. I believe I heard there a folder within the Black Shark directory that you can place your music files into. And when you’re in the Ka-50 and set it to the correct frequency, you can listen to your music haha. Sure it may be slightly arcade-ish but hey, it’s cool. If you want realism, the radio and other data link obeys the laws of direct line of sight- which means you would actually loose signals if you are behind a canyon wall.

This is not arcady :D There is a radio station in Majkop that you could tune into for real with this system. :D

with V/U/HF you can tune to most radio stations if it has the right Bands.

The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance.

Another easter egg out. Could we possibly have any more surprizes in there... ? :renske:

What the heck is that? Can you talk about it little bit?

dome projection with spherical correction of some sort, i was under the impression this was only available for opengl but i did see some references there to directx , after checking out that link from TekaTeka, so that sounds promising.

after having the th2go i think these domes have some serious potential for virtual pilots.

superkungfu: thanks for the report, sounds like you enjoyed it immensely.

i too want to here more about the dome, was it convincing, in perspective, did it stretch the outer areas at all like the th2go seems to?

good to see innovations such as these, please also name the game you saw on the dome, cheers.

I was actually quite impressed by the dome. I was expecting the image to be stretched or curved, judging by the looks on the side, but when you are standing in the middle, its like you're really there in the action. Sadly I wasn't playing a game when i was looking at the dome, it was small game trailers such as Halo wars or Call of duty 4.

I think Elumen got sold to the Euro company their web page has been off line for over a year .When I posted on a sit about making some thing similar I got a reply from a company out of the UK you don't even want to know the price LOL

exactly, it was dome-shaped screen. So it gives you like a small IMAX experience. Pretty cool, when you stand in the middle of it, you can enjoy both the sound and the image quality. And thanks Tekateka for the info, over there it was under a different name...something EuroVision, or EuroDome.

Here's one more pic of black shark

CNCs and Laser engravers are great but they can't do squat with out a precise set of plans.

It's getting very good press & a reasonable amount of positive chat at other websites, which I guess is probably more important than actual visitors to the booth. A bit of buzz on the internet...

Cheers.

Since both Wags and myself are presenting at the show, our own official comments will probably have to wait until it's over. Just no time...

We were a bit busy, weren't we, off and on.

Seems quite a few people from the forums went, we probably should have worn name tags of our call sign over there so we would know who's who. Which reminds me, over at the E for all show, they got this machine

Which could laser engrave whatever you want with 15 characters onto a dog tag for free. I naturally got a SuperKungFu dog tag. Pretty cool of them

Looks good. Can you tell us anything about the damage model of AI helos? Do they still disintegrate into a fireball on impact or will they break apart and skid to a stop if the crash at low speeds like the BS.

I think and hope it will be better, much better, than in Lockon but probably not as good as for the Su-25T in FC, that's ADM (advanced damage modeling) and that's likely to be exclusive for the flyables in DCS.
