Coranthia
Hi all, Using an HTC Vive, the headset only renders all clouds, smoke and shadows on one eye, and the other renders less or none. It is really off putting and I cannot fly with clouds as it makes my eyes go funny having different clouds rendered in different eyes. Has anyone got a fix for this or is it one of the bugs ED will get round to "fixing" at some point? It is completely ruining the game for me now and I can't put up with it any longer  I cant understand how this isn't a priority bug fix as it is so obvious when playing. Hoirtel
Err that wouldn't be very nice. I often get the odd cloud rendering in one eye only but just in the distance so it's not too bad to ignore. Have you tried deleting all the pre-stored shaders? That would be my first option.
Dunx
I have the same on the HP Reverb, most noticeably clouds and contrails. Turning my head makes them appear and disappear, horrible! Yes I have, I delete them prior to every update as a matter of course. Dunx; tell me about it. I really can't put up with it anymore. DCS is totally unplayable for me now as it's messing with my vision. I'm thinking of getting a refund for the Supercarrier module and the spitfire I recently bough as I'm not really going to be playing until this is fixed. It's such an obvious and awful bug that's really unconformable and screws with your head, I cannot understand why this isn't one of the priorities to fix right now. Gryzor
The same issues happens with tracer glow rendering of bullets (the glow is not rendered in R eye at medium distance) making a artificial and unreal effect. Finally ED fixed bug related with gear flood lighting, I hope those others issues would be fixed.
Dunx
BTW, 60Hz is even worse, even the mountains are rendered differently in each eye. The_Nephilim
If I am wrong on this Please be kind I only ment to help.. I think if you add the following line to your autoexec.cfg file it will help: options.graphics.stereo_mode_use_shared_parser = true I think if you also put in Stereo mode in monitors that helps as well.. Thins introduce other rendering issues: sea glitches, culling grahics error at screen edges, and cockpit flood light rendered in one eye, engine blur not rendered in one eye. I hope ED fixes shader parser, I noticed a small fps increase, but I cannot live with issues listed above, those are breaking specially culling problems, sea glitches and light-cockpit flood. Oh, sadly I found out what you mean. I thought it was going well because I was only using the F/A-18C during a midday mission. As soon as night came, the cockpit was brighter in the right eye, which is indeed worse than the single-eye-image problem. cptmrcalm
+1 on distant cloud flickering. Its getting more and more off putting. I had hoped a gfx tweak might do it. But I don't think this has been resolved of late? https://www.youtube.com/@cptmrcalm | https://www.instagram.com/cptmrcalm/ | https://twitter.com/cptmrcalm | https://www.tiktok.com/@cptmrcalm

cptmrcalm
Yes I dont think this will be anything to do with what headset you are using. I fear this may not be resolved for some time as there are a number of lighting issues for a large number of areas. It may be an overhaul and since we are the minority at the moment, I cant see them rushing. Glad to be wrong though. I hope I am. https://www.youtube.com/@cptmrcalm | https://www.instagram.com/cptmrcalm/ | https://twitter.com/cptmrcalm | https://www.tiktok.com/@cptmrcalm

Because ever since I fly DCS in VR (since August 2018 ), I've been seeing dis- and re-appearing distant clouds, contrails, shadows when I move my head. First on my Rift CV1, now on my Reverb. I have them since 2.5.6.. With older versions there are some clouds, shadows or contrails disappearing at the borders of the screen while moving the head for both eyes at same time.. but now I'm getting some things renderend in only one eye even looking at front. EDIT : For example, the past night I noticed that the landing gear of the L-39 is rendered at different distances at each eye after seeing some planes floating through the taxi way. UncleZam
+1 Noticeably flickering clouds for me too. Also some clouds rendered in one eye only when turning head, which makes for very weird feeling in VR. I would rank this the biggest issue for VR use at the moment (aside of the general performance issues).

Did further testing with following findings: - It seems the offending clouds disappear in the center of the view when rotating my head. Cannot understand the logic behind this. - MSAA and/or the new MSAA mask settings do not make any difference. - Visibility range setting to extreme does not help. Talonx1
Where do we find this option? Sorry for the noob question Its not an option its a line you add to the autoexec.exe within your savedgames/dcs/config folder. Be advised though it will also make all the new deck crew on the supercarrier only render in one eye. Along with some canopy reflections and lighting. Its really not a usefull fix.
