[DCS ISSUE] Aim-7's no longer track

Can someone confirm if they are having issues with the Sparrow?

 

 

None of the Aim-7's I've fired this evening have tracked a target, all of them have gone stupid off the rail.

 

 

I don't know if it's a bug or if I'm doing something odd.

Yeah I just ran into that doing the constant peg 3rd gen instant action mission all the missile didn't work.

I can confirm that Sparrows work for the Hornet but not the Tomcat.

No problem with the Sidewinders, didn't try the Phoenix yet.

I had no time to fly since the OB update, but i just ran the Constant Peg III gen, on auto (both sides flown by the AI) and the AIM-7M seams to be working. Yes, it's wonky and eats chaff like there's no tomorrow, but at least it attempts to track the target. So, whatever this bug is, it seams to effect only player controlled birds.

We're trying to find the cause of this, the Sparrow worked on our testing versions over the weekend (and still works on our testing versions) and we haven't changed anything on our side regarding Sparrows in a very long time. Seems to be magically broken in this in specific OB version.

I'd like to point out the 7MH tracks for me, but the 7M does not. I have not tested the 7F.

So i did some testing and it appears that it only happens to player-controlled birds with AIM-7M and the AIM-7MH for me. AIM-7F's still guide.

 

AIM-54A (both types) and AIM-54C seem to be working fine.

The issue seems to be the radar: I tested the Caucasus free flight Instant Action mission, and neither Sparrow variants work for me: F, M and MH all dumb-fire.

Sidewinders can't be slaved to the radar either, for me they only work in boresight mode if I point the missile's seeker directly at the target...

 

(Sparrows work just fine when fired by a Hornet, and Sidewinders slave correctly to the F-18's radar as well)

Confirmed on the 7M's. They don't work. Radar modes work. 7F and MH work. At least withing 10NM.

 

EDIT: ok, and now they have stopped working..... this is weird

I think i found a correlation, allbeit a strange one. If i give the bandit some missiles, then the Sparrows won't track. If i strip the bandit clean (guns only) the Sparrows work fine.
