When I try playing with all details set to high, they look ugly, rendered as a 3-plane billboard, until I get very close, and they look slightly better but still poor. Do everyone use graphics mods on youtube videos? Screenshot and settings are attached!

Northstar98 Posted October 2, 2020 Posted October 2, 2020 Wierd, definitely looks like a LOD issue going on, does changing the visibility range or preload radius do anything (only thing I can think of though most likely unrelated, as I swear this was done by the trees visibility, which is all the way up). BuzzU Posted October 2, 2020 Posted October 2, 2020 I'm more annoyed by the trees poping in and out than how they look. Running ultra visability range helps that but takes fps. Buzz
Fri13 Posted October 2, 2020 Posted October 2, 2020 Check out the Taz "better trees" mod thread. There is a comment about modifying visibility range longer etc to fix these problems. My tree mod does have this fixed. https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=4443078&postcount=40 The BuzzU's issue of popping can only be remedied by increasing draw distance which will hurt fps. Just as any visual quality improvement will cost fps. The issue you linked Flappie is related to missing texture. See for instance the first shot in the video below: thats the syrian map, it has its own (better looking) trees. this thread is about caucasus trees which got broken with some update, flipping the middle texture in lower LODs. CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 1600X GPU: AMD RX 580
