It is supposed to detect the plumet of missiles in his coverage area which is mainly oriented toward the ground as it was first a response to manpad thread for mud movers so it will not detect missiles fired from above or at great distance and the guidance logic of the missile doesn't matter, only if the plumet is visible or not

That's correct ;).

 

It's not of much use in a BVR or even WVR engagement, as it will, just like OP said, almost only report friendly missile launches, it never saved me in a A/A situation.

Its only use is against MANPADs and short range SAMs.

 

We would need a track and/or tacview from OP to see if there is a bug or not :).

Oh, my bad. I was fairly certain it was the 530D pylons it was mounted on. :thumbup:

That happens from time to time, over various modules. Usually a repair / restart fixes it for me, you may have to fiddle around in your controller binding files in a pinch.

Actually I think it can be useful in some very specific case like an IR shot from below but I agree it's of marginal use in A/A situation :thumbup:

They do not have this problem when they choose the CAP configuration on their Mirage 2000.

Thank you Helljumper for all this info:thumbup:. I have little understood the essentials for NVG glasses, VHF radio and ECM management .... Remain the bug RWR black on 1/3 low. It's relatively embarrassing! which I hope to resolve as soon as possible.:(

Nobody knows, guys ?

I even removed ( testing ) some folders from Sounds folder or Mods / aircraft / M2000C / sound folder, but the default cannon sound is present

Where is the location of this sound ??

I've noticed there's a severe performance problem when landing.

 

I don't know if it has to do with the APP mode, the ILS system, or the ILS in conjunction with TACAN.

 

Please can someone confirm also seeing this? FPS gets very choppy and low, in this stage and I'm on a 9700K@5Ghz and an RTX2080 and all else is silky smooth.

This is actually important because it highlights how radio is supposed to work. I was looking for some info on that but everyone seemed to actually completely ignore the issue and assume that the rocker on the throttle acts as radio PTT. That's how SRS and I think VAICOM treat it, even though it's been mentioned in many places that rocker is used for radio SELECTION. Well, this debacle seems to accidentally explain what is going on - the rocker indeed only selects the radio, and button number 8 on stick is PTT. At least that's how I understand it and it would mean that the closest HOTAS mapping would be to map whatever stick button was used for STT/TWS switch to Communications instead (or SRS PTT), and map STT/TWS to TDC press instead. Can any of the devs weigh in on this?

Not sure how long this has been happening, but I recently got into the Mirage after about a year, and discovered I could not lock a target. The target shows up on the screen and blinks preventing me from locking them. I lock for a second and then it breaks lock. When I get closer, I can lock them with special modes , but not until I get in range. Not sure what is going on, never had that before.

It's more realistic radar behaviour introduced with the latest update.

 

Absolutly beverly contract disappear after each swipe. There is no buffer or memory, it's redrawing it.

Was shocked at first but it is...

 

... each bar is a separate swipe. So if a contact is detected buy first bar but not the other he will appear only when the first bar is swiped again.
