You need to buy Flaming Cliffs module The F-22 worked fine when I upgraded to the latest version of DCS World, it stopped working after I purchased the FC 2024 upgrade and 90% of my mods no longer work as the have changed the original FC3 files and the original is no longer available for download, it's 2024 or nothing.
mrjay Posted July 14, 2024 Posted July 14, 2024 Thanks for information ... I guess i won't be buying FC2024 anytime soon. Maybe @GrinnelliDesigns or @Nightstorm will find a root cause and update F-22 Mod. 1
TKhaos Posted July 14, 2024 Posted July 14, 2024 Hopefully it will be a quick and simple fix, I think it would have still been an issue even if I hadn't upgraded because of the updates made to the FC aircraft in FC 2024. The original FC3 icon is greyed out now and all aircraft have been added individually added to the list along the bottom.
mrjay Posted July 14, 2024 Posted July 14, 2024 Ok. I've updated to FC 2024 and got it working with a workaround: 1. Start DCS. 2. Start F-15C mission. 3. Exit F-15C mission. 4. Start F-22A mission and it should work. There is a word on Mods discord that ED is currently working on a fix. Use the above steps, until fix will be released. 2 1
hoff1218 Posted July 15, 2024 Posted July 15, 2024 I noticed that worked too a few days ago when I couldn't get it to show the cockpit view. I loaded an F-15 mission, exited and loaded the F-22 mission again and it worked, but I also noticed that a few functions were non operational such as the flaps, landing gear and second stage trigger. The trigger was interesting since it showed the animation of both stages being pulled on the stick, but it would not shoot. Is there a workaround for these functions to work again?

flavnet Posted July 16, 2024 Posted July 16, 2024 For me, the mod is unusable. I await with hope some adjustments that still allow full use.
Archangel44 Posted July 16, 2024 Posted July 16, 2024 Damn, I really like flying the F22. I hope it gets fixed soon. 1 F-4E, F-5E-3, F-14, F-15E, F-16C, FA18-C, F-86, A-10C, Spitfire, AJS-37, KA50, MiG-19, L-39, P-51, Flaming Cliffs, All maps, WWII Assets, Combined Arms, Super Carrier.

When I start the mission with a mod plane, it cannot be flown or the game crashes when loading the mission. Current temporary "fix" is to load an F-15C into the same mission. First hop into the F-15C, then you should be able to hop into other modded aircraft that are based off the F-15C such as the F-22, F-35 and F-15EX. 1

While that makes the aircraft flyable, or at least showing up in a majority of cases the landing gear fails to work, regardless of if you use joystick or keyboard and the flaps don't work, 99% of the times I've used it the flaps are jammed fully down and the landing gear doesn't operate. Many people have also reported that the trigger doesn't work when using the workaround, for me it's 50/50 and sometimes the trigger will work but weapon release won't launch anything, so as Rooster says 'then it's a dogfight' which is fine until you try flying a potato with the flaps and landing gear fully down 1

To be fair, I was doing some testing specifically on those aircraft to see if they were broke and in my test mission, they were already airborne. To be honest, there seems to be too many things broken with them atm to where I'll probably be switching back to 2.9.5 for a long time. I finally found working solutions for the AIM-260 or 120D3, but the AI don't care about the work arounds and just fire off dud missiles lol.

Will have to try that, see if the landing gear is up on mine by starting in the air instead of ramp or runway. As for the missiles I did one last night and fired it at something that was locked about the 11 o'clock postion and it came off the rail and disappeared over toward the 3 o'clock position and there was nothing over that way

Not exactly sure what about the speed/altitude that is messing with them, but they work fine once within those parameters. AI won't keep those limits though and tend to just burn to 36k and ripple them off while going to slow. Only thing I found for that which sort of works is setting their AA engagement range to half. SkateZilla Posted July 20, 2024 Posted July 20, 2024 FOr the record, the issues w/ Mods that HotLink FC3 Avionics and Pits has nothing to do with FC2024 itself, FC3 has been depreciated entirely, the Module ID is no longer active, so any mod that relied on "\Flaming Cliffs\..." Paths for cockpit art or systems etc, will no longer work. Also note, during the transition there was wonky Auth access for everyone, so FC3 is no longer part of the builds, users need to install the individual FCS Modules for A-10A, F-15C, MIG-29 SU25A, SU27, SU33 and have them Auth, Then the mods need to be revised to use the FCS Modules paths for Cockpit art and systems (ie Instead of "\Flaming Cliffs\... it should be \<F-15C><SU-27><SU-33>\ etc etc 4 2 Windows 10 Pro, Ryzen 2700X @ 4.6Ghz, 32GB DDR4-3200 GSkill (F4-3200C16D-16GTZR x2), ASRock X470 Taichi Ultimate, XFX RX6800XT Merc 310 (RX-68XTALFD9) 3x ASUS VS248HP + Oculus HMD, Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS + MFDs

PeeJott17 Posted July 23, 2024 Posted July 23, 2024 (edited) @SkateZilla did you try loading the F15.dll and F15ccws.dll through the entry or another scripts-file from the original place (from the installation path from DCS)? They can not be loaded when in the saved-games folder but should be loadable from the original path... I guess... only idea I have so far... Edited July 23, 2024 by PeeJott17
TKhaos Posted July 23, 2024 Posted July 23, 2024 (edited) I've just tried it and doesn't work, as for the FC3 stuff the folder in the main directory no longer exists as they are all individual aircraft now with FC on the end of the FC 2024 ones. Edited July 24, 2024 by TKhaos

Spino Posted July 24, 2024 Posted July 24, 2024 I have tried several things here, up to and including directly referencing the F-15CCWS.dll and F-15.dll files in my entry file, using the code from the F-15C's entry file as reference. None of this has worked so far. Will keep experimenting... 5 1 Website (DCS Content): https://sites.google.com/view/spinossimulationsite/home?authuser=0 Discord: discord.gg/V6W8gJSx83 YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@SpinosSimulations?sub_confirmation=1 System Specs: Ryzen 7 5800X, RX 7800 XT, 32GB DDR4-3200 RAM DCS Wishlist: F-8E/J Crusader, UH-1Y/AH-1Z, F-14B(U), F-14D/ST-21 Super Tomcat
