fitness88 Posted December 20, 2020 Posted December 20, 2020 I've noticed sometimes the TACAN does not count down the distance on HUD, the distance number is frozen. You need to reset it and it eventually it will start counting down distance to carrier, tanker etc.

Tracks record your actions for the whole mission, you can't save a 15 second slice of your flight. Third party tools such as Nvidia's "Shadow Play" can capture game footage. jackdaw Posted December 22, 2020 Posted December 22, 2020 I have had this problem in multiplayer, normally turning the TACAN on and off gets it working again. If i 'am trying to find a tanker i can be as close as 40nm but still need to turn TACAN on off

med-taha Posted December 24, 2020 Posted December 24, 2020 Same for me ! coming back from a mission and switching to Carrier’s Tacan . I usually notice that the numbers are frozen and to troubleshoot it i need to power it off and get it back on.

The next time I see it, I'll get a track. deltatango Posted May 4, 2021 Posted May 4, 2021 (edited) Happening to me still. DCS ver 2.7.0.5118 .trk file is 38Mb. The freeze happens on the way back to the carrier at around 70NM. Fix is to dial up another freq (any freq) and then back to the TACAN I was tracking. Meyomyx Posted May 4, 2021 Posted May 4, 2021 I can confirm this - often with airborne TACAN. As reported, changing frequency then back again restores correct distance information.
