It only requires a weekly disk check in the tray. The download version, on the other hand, does require internet access for activations. The original announcement has now been edited again to include this information. This question is spurred on mostly by the fiasco and backlash against the DRM on Spore and Bioshock. In case you are wondering, in both instances users may only install the game so many times before having to call customer support and ask for more activations. PS.
