Dhafra is broken I guess since release. No-one from ED had even few minutes to just mark it as REPORTED. I found Dhafra bug report which was posted 10th March 2020 - sadly also unnoticed by ED 😞

@GumidekCZ I've checked all PG ILS in 3 different wind conditions. I used the M-2000C because it's way quicker/simpler.

We have two different issues:

  1. Wind related ILS are "normal" in DCS. I won't report them, because what needs to be changed here is not PG but the DCS core logic of ILS beacons (and also directional beacons).
  2. ILS beacons that never work. I'll report these.

In addition to that...

Requesting landing to Sharjah the ATC replies Novorossiysk.... See screenshots.

And the ILS beacons runways 12 Sharjah AND Dubai International are non-existent, in spite being marked on the F10 map...

and the ILS Runway 30  Dubai International does not show the glideslope (f-16) What a mess...

Please avoid reporting different issues in a same thread. The Novorossiysk bug you're refering to is an old one:

Call ATC to know the active runway first. In DCS - only the active approach direction will have ILS activated.

Of course I have called ATC... I am well aware that  only the active approach direction will have ILS activated.

But nevertheless, why are the ILS beacons runways 12 Sharjah AND Dubai International are non-existent, in spite being marked on the F10 map?

and why the ILS Runway 30  Dubai International does not show the glideslope (f-16)?

Do you have a track of your non functional Sharjah ILS please?

I did a torough check a few months ago, and it was working well, then.

Just to expand on this, I also just tested the Sharjah ILS rwy 12 multiple times, and the magic number for me is 6, as in 6 kts. With a headwind of 6 kts or more, I am able to use the ILS runway 12 as intended, with 5kts or less, no dice. This is definitely a problem, but not one of the beacons being "non-existant", but merely their activation.

In the case of Sharjah it once again comes down to the incredibly frustrating relation between wind (and not only direction but also speed) and the activation of the ILS that has been the cause of all sorts of issues left right and center.

Everybody said: "That's impossible!" Then someone came along who didn't know that and just did it.

So in other words, one has to apply a a headwind of 6 kts or more.....

That begs the question: Why is this not necessary in Nevada and Caucasus?

One has to listen to ATC. Depending on wind strenght and direction the active runway changes. Few examples from other maps: Creech AFB, Andersen AFB, Tbilisi-Vaziani - all the same behavior. There are other runways of course. Some are special like Nellis (approach 21L or 21R). Some are one driection only. Some have ILS only for one direction.
