OMG we are from the same asylum :joystick:  I print each chapter so I can separated it from the entire book, that way I don't have to do the paw thing you mentioned. :smartass:.

Same here ;) :smartass:

Ideally there should be 3 separate manuals, or sections in one manual separated with tabs:

1, Aircraft Systems: ABRIS, Skval, HUD, Data Link, Engines etc

2, Pilot Operating manual: Performance Data, Limitations, Weapon Data, Normal Proceedures, Checklists etc

3, Quick Reference Guide: Alerts, Emergency Proceedures, Abnormal proceedures etc

Also, a separate, laminated, checklist card would also be handy ;)

This way you have some hope of finding the information you need amongst the 395 pages ;)

Finally, A5 size pages would be better than A4 - much easier to 'stow' on your desk :D

Nic Cole did an awesome job of the LOMAC manual. RIP.

However, the printed manual should in no way delay the release of either the pdf manual or the demo ;) :D :joystick: :pilotfly:

Yes i agree, but i think they will not rewrite manual and we would like to have it as fast as possible :D. And probably it will be not so bad. Lot of other procedures and guides will be created by community, Lock On is the proof.

Yeah, yeah. There's no hope of ED actually doing this and if they did it would be a commnity thing anyway, like you say. So don't worry. It was just a hypothetical wish list (just in case anyone was 'thinking' of producing a proper manual ;))

Well if you print it yourself then you could put the sections you think fit together in the same folder instead of all the chapters in one.

Oops -- sorry about that. I have added some into my profile that should be visible. I'll need to find a better home for the full library as I go through the rest of the project.

We are still planning on releasing the manuals. In fact, over the weekend I sent in what I hope are the final texts for final formatting and conversion to PDF. Hopefully the flight manual will be released soon now.

I predict the manual to be ready for download some time this month if things did not go awry at ED bureau. :D

ED have been taking my money since 1995. :P

They may be trying to print it, so they could offer both download and hard copy in the same time?

Hi Rob, i really like your enclosed simpit you are building. My wife won't let me build one here because she says our english houses are to small and it would take up all the spare room for when her mother stays.

By coincidence I have another enclosed 'simpit' in mind for her mother..one day ! :music_whistling:

Anyways, can I come and live will you just till my mother law dies? ;)

thanks drummer

Does that mean the printed manual will be available at the same time? It's uh...more "portable" to carry to various rooms if you know what I mean :D

Being a late comer to Lockon series (no pc and running a power PC mac G5). Finally got my new macbook pro and bootcamp. Although before it came out I had ordered lockon Gold plus the flaming cliffs manuel.

I received everything two weeks before my computer came and I spent every night learning all I could learn. It was great being forced to read the book before flying the sim. It made learning how to put weapons on target much quicker and with greater success (and less time using labels to practice).

Looking forward to the new reading content...and even more so to the western release (or demo..whichever comes first). :)
