HISTORIC BATTLES SERIES: F-16 vs MiG-29 22 vs 15 PvP, 1980s Edition

Historic battles is a series that pits aircraft with historic rivalries, either by design or happenstance, against each other in a mass PvP event. This particular event is a 1980s restriction, placing the MiG-29A against the F-16A (represented by a no JHMCS/DL/AMRAAM F-16CM Bk50).

 

DATE AND TIME: Saturday October 9th at 1900z. Run time of 2.5 hrs.

 

OBJECTIVE: The objective is for each team to maintain a high exchange ratio (ratio of kills to losses). If the overall exchange ratio (ratio of F-16 combat losses to MiG-29 combat losses) is over 1.5, the MiG-29s win. If it is under 1.5, the F-16s win.

 

WEAPONS RESTRICTIONS: F-16s are allowed to carry 6*AIM-9L/M and fuel tanks. MiG-29As are allowed 2*R-27Rs, 4*R-73s, any amount of R-60Ms, and fuel tanks. All other external weapons/stores are prohibited.

Amendment 1: Use of the NS430 navigation system is not allowed

 

SCENARIO RESTRICTIONS: Neither side has an AWACS. Both sides have EWR sites, which are valid targets. However, they do not count towards win criteria. Both sides additionally will have GCI support, with 3 GCIs per side. Map used will be Caucasus

 

OTHER RULES:

1. A squadron may enter up to 4 pilots per side, allowing up to 8 total (4 on each side)
2. There will be a server ping limit of [TBD]
3. Communications will be on both the discord server, and on SRS
4. To register on the discord, simply ask for F-16A/MiG-29A role in the "historic-battles-role-request" channel
5. GCIs will use Combined Arms

 

STREAMS/PRIZES: As of right now, there is no designated streamer, if anyone is interested just PM me here or on discord. No prizes, this event is just for fun!
