What makes you think the SE's hook will be any different? And even if it does work, what's the point in being able to land once while destroying the landing gear? (and being unable to use the catapult regardless)

Having a hook for use with runway emergency arrestor systems does not make an aircraft carrier capable. In DCS it's nothing but eye candy for those people that just look at the plane from the external view.

The Marianas map, Andersen Airforce Base has the arrestor gear on the runway, and it does work. Also, if content creators have the Strike Eagle (and they do) then the preorder people should have it as well

The SE isn't going to be landing on carriers though.

And even more potential content creators are a bad thing then? I don't get it.

Aside from that, it could've been a nice suprise and a gesture of acknowledgement to the people that trusted them and their product in advance.

But on the other hand I really don't want to make too much of a deal out of this whole thing. I have, anyways, too many aircraft to learn.

100% not. Maybe news about release in June, second part, but not release of EA. Also there was given by Razbam that not in May (Discord), 2-9 weeks paerhaps some expect it in the middle or second part of the next month.

Well, remember back in a few weeks ago, a lot of well-known media (hate the word access media) showed previews of Sina map, but it was still not released, yet. I guess the same for the mud hen. Again, I am fine for being wrong.

I'm the opposite - I wonder if some of the delay is them trying to line up releasing both things at the same time. All the F-15E previews coming out are on Sinai.....

From a software development standpoint, the YouTubers are still allowed to use the pre-release version today, while the actual developments are still going on elsewhere at the same time, which means things would be different when the product actually hits the shelf. Given that it seems that the developer and ED thought the Sina map was good to show off before F-15E, it would be natural to expect the former came out earlier than the latter.

But again, it is software development after all. Things could happen which differ from expectation. (e.g. MB-339A)

Yeah i side with you on that, releasing it to Youtubers while we are all waiting is... bad PR to me. Hype is already super high and most people who where going to buy it already did.

There are arrestor cables on the runway at Mount Pleasant but purely decorative and you can't catch the wires.
