Have you tried asking on the A4 discord. Maybe they might know the cause. I hope you solve the problem. Hi.
DmitriKozlowsky Posted October 5, 2022 Posted October 5, 2022 If anyone is willing. Please take a look at attached track. My center station mounted ZUNI will not fire. EVER! Just does not do it. Outer wing station station ZUNI fires fine. Belly station. No bueno! Station is ON, Master Arm ON, guns arm OFF. Depr sight -12 for guns and rockets. Weapons mode is ROCKETS. Its confusing and frustrating, and there is no apparent answer. You will need South Atlantic. A_4EC_center_zuni_wont_fire.trk

Try selecting the outer pylons and when you run out of ZUNI put the knob on rippler, deselect the outer pylons and select the center pylon to activate it. Set the Rippler knob to save and the release amount to 2, 4 or 6 as needed. Edited October 5, 2022 by Calabrone
Inf Posted October 5, 2022 Posted October 5, 2022 (edited) I really love this module - it's quickly becoming my favourite. The only negative imo is its ground handling - especially during carrier ops. I totally appreciate that the model this is based on did not have any NWS - but it also had ground crews with tractors that would tow it over the deck and hook it up to the catapult. Obviously we're not going to get that any time soon (or ever at all), so kind of feel in this case a concession could be made. Edit: I'd even take a mode where you engage "ground crew steering" from the comms menu, it spawns a little tractor model in front of you (like how the ground power spawns a generator mesh) and we then move it around with nws-like movement. Differential braking. Thats what it has. You need rudder pedals with toe brakes. Same as Mig-21Bis.

Set the Rippler knob to save and the release amount to 2, 4 or 6 as needed. I tried all that. Does not work. Outer pylons OFF, center pylon ON. Wing pylons and center pylon ON. All sorts of ripple fire and single combos. Reset Master Arm OFF/ON. Reset gun arm ON then OFF. Cycle dials on weps control station. Nada, nothing , never works. Does not work with Zuni on center station. Maybe its a bug, maybe its a limitation of module. RW A-4E certainly fired Zunis from center pylon. Plenty of YT videos on that. Works with Mk5 2.75 rockets. Center pylon HIPEG pod works fine. But center mounted Zuni, no good. Sucks as Zuni is such an effective weapon, and center pylon can mount 3 pack Zuni launcher.
DmitriKozlowsky Posted October 6, 2022 Posted October 6, 2022 This module would be so much more fun in DCS in if A-4E was reved up to LM A-4AR Fighting Hawk of today's Argentine Air Force and Navy.

DmitriKozlowsky Posted October 6, 2022 Posted October 6, 2022 Tried it again. Same results. Center mounted ZUNI does not fire. I don't know if this is a bug, a limitation, or my RTFM, as I am clueless as to what to do. I accidentally overwrote yesterday's trk, with new one. New one is attached. But it looks like TRK is useless for troubleshooting. As it does not load correctly for others. So I am gonna treat it like a restriction. No ZUNI on centerline station. The thing is, you have the Release version installed. I have Open Beta. I can select the track file for loading. That you cannot might be because DCS looks at the file when you click on Replays and sees it is from an Open Beta installation, or from an higher release number than yours (OB is always higher then GA), and decides to refuse to even show you the file. That is my suspicion. When you hit the wrong button on take-off System Specs. I am updated to the latest version of DCS open beta, however it doesn't matter. Thank you very much.
