Edit @tanax: I might add, a common scenario where you will encounter this behavior is when a target aircraft turn on ECM. In these cases the PM103 STR have to re-aquire the target and launch a new missile at a much closer range.

No problem! The reason for the 103A to explode after launch is because the PM103 STR lose contact, and that is because the Su-25T targets all have ECM pods which they turn on when under threat.  I tried your mission and set ECM use to never - and the missiles won't explode. I also removed the ECM pods, same result - the missiles won't explode. This is because the 103A has TVM guidance, where the 103B has its own radar seeker and isn't dependent on the PM103 STR.

On a sidenote, even if you keep the lock, it's still a challenge to hit a target at max distance (you can set a lower intercept range). Especially since the targets will start diving behind hills in this particular mission. And I would also set the asset skill level to excellence.

Haha, wtf! How did you manage that? I've used the RBS 58 probably a thousand times in test and missions. There has to be some sort of conflict or issue with your installation.

Secondly, I don't know if you realized when you created this mod how well could be suited for heli logistics actions. For example a Gazelle could transport and infiltrate a sniper team or an ATGM in some strategic spots... perfect for ambush or stealth actions ...

Did not try it yet, however the only think I got in here that would need some work according with what I was mentioned above would be the posibility of movement for sniper team, or at least posibility to rotate ... this would be required becasue spawning from heli cannot really control where they will face to.

One more query... how can we find out the rearm timing, and how many rounds is having each unit, including infantry especially ATGM, manpads and sniper team.

Nice find! You are correct. I configured the STR for 360 degrees detection azimuth, which would be correct for the new GaN version but isn't correct for the AN/MPQ-65. After detection the azimuth is limited to 120 degrees, but I will restrict the asset to employ a fixed azimuth in the next update.

I inserted a sniper team on a hill from a blackhawk, they went on to murder 6 Russians from over 1500 meters.

@currenthillHow to deploy the RBS70 from BV410? Should i find an F10 menu command? I did not find it yet. Is it something will be available later? Or am I completely off-road ? :))

Don't know. I just placed them facing more or less towards the target.(on a late activation trigger) I actually ment for them to engage some Russians in a town about 750 meters way. I was quite surprised when they started to gun down some moving Russians 1500 meters away.

Nothing fancy is required. It will deploy (in stages to simulate the mount/deployment of the weapon) if alarm state is red. But the RBS 70 is dependent on the UndE 23 STR.

Sometimes it's easier to show than explain in words. Check out this mission.

The Ag 90 Sniper team can engage targets at ±45 degrees left/right from the facing direction. 👍🏻

Thanks! That was a main goal with this project. To make as many assets as possible mobile. I wanted to be able to move and deploy a complete LvS 103 site with RBS 98 SHORAD protection etc.
